McLeod’s Daughters is heading back to Aussie screens in a reboot.
The beloved TV show will be revived with a modern twist, 25 years after the first episode aired.
The reboot was announced during Channel 9’s Upfronts presentation, where they previewed all the upcoming shows for 2027.
“A lot has happened since Australia last visited Drovers Run, but what hasn’t changed is the landscape and the uplifting spirit of the strong, resilient women navigating life on the land alongside the challenges of finding love and connection in the modern world,” Nine said.
The reboot will be available to stream on Stan, but no exact release date has been confirmed.
McLeod’s Daughters ran from 2001 to 2009, with more than 220 episodes across eight seasons.
Last month, the show was ranked sixth on the 70 best Aussie TV programs of all time, based on a survey by TV Week, making the top 10 list among other shows including Kath and Kim, Home and Away, A Country Practice, Blue Heelers, and Packed to the Rafters.
Nine has yet to confirm whether any of the original cast including Bridie Carter, Lisa Chappel, Doris Younane and Luke Jacobz will return for the reboot.
Bridie recently spoke about whether a revival was happening and said she would be “back in the saddle in a second” to play Tess again.
“I was behind it a trillion per cent with [creator] Posey Graeme-Evans,” she said in June.
She then urged the powers that be to “pull their fingers out” to make it happen.
