Ricki-Lee Coulter and comedian Jim Jefferies will host I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! when the reality series moves to the Seven network in 2027.

The pair will take over from Julia Morris and Robert Irwin, who will not return when the show changes networks after Channel 10 announced it would be “resting” the series in 2027.

Coulter, a former Australian Idol star and Nova radio host, said she was a longtime fan of the show and excited to take part, despite never having visited Africa.

“For years I’ve watched on from the comfort of my couch and now I get to experience it up close and personal – while standing comfortably off to the side with Jim,” she said on Thursday.

“Watching our favourite celebrities squirm their way through some absolutely horrific challenges is gonna be a wild ride.”

Jefferies, who also hosts The 1% Club Australia, was equally enthusiastic about the new role.

“When Seven asked if I’d like to spend weeks in the African jungle watching celebrities eat strange things and embarrass themselves on national television, I couldn’t say yes fast enough,” he said.

“It sounds like my ideal holiday.”

The show, which sees celebrities take on challenging jungle tasks and unusual food trials, will begin a new chapter under Seven after the network secured the rights earlier this year.

Morris previously described herself as “devastated” when Channel 10 announced the show would be rested, but said she supported its return in a new form.

“Yes the disappointment of the Jungle… I’m devastated,” she told Coulter’s Ricki-Lee & Tim radio show on Nova.

“I also said to them… you have my blessing, whatever form it comes back in and whoever is at the helm,” Morris added.

Irwin, meanwhile, told TV Week he did not see himself hosting the series without Morris.

“To me, I’m a Celeb and Julia Morris are synonymous. You can’t have one without the other.”

The new hosting team will bring a different dynamic to the series when it returns on Seven in 2027.
