Angela Bishop has shared the secrets behind her impressive weight loss journey, crediting some surprising lifestyle changes for her results.

The Channel 10 presenter recently uploaded a snap from the Logies to Instagram, and fans flooded the comments with praise for her transformation.

“You look sensational ❤️,” wrote one admirer.

“Absolutely stunning ❤️❤️,” added another.

“You look a million bucks hon!❤️,” said a third.

Back in 2020, Bishop revealed on her morning show that the shift began with just one adjustment to her daily routine.

“I recently gave up my sugar-free energy drink addiction,” she admitted.

“I was drinking between 2-3 cans a day,” she explained. “And changing absolutely nothing else about my diet, I’ve lost two kilos in three and a half weeks.

“So that’s just anecdotal [evidence], not scientific, but I found it good.”

Quitting the habit wasn’t without its struggles, though.

“The withdrawal from the drinks was pretty painful,” she recalled. “I had very very bad headaches and didn’t feel good at all. But now I feel great!”

It wasn’t the first time Bishop had seen major results from cutting out a beverage. In 2015, she dropped 20 kilograms after eliminating coffee from her diet.

At the time, she told Now To Love that she realised she was consuming 1255 kilojoules a day purely from coffee and decided to quit cold turkey.

“This is the best I’ve felt since being pregnant,” she said then. “I felt amazing when I was pregnant, but this is right up there – a close second I’d say!”

In her mid-40s at the time, Bishop explained that her goal was simply to make healthier choices.

“I was drinking two skim cappuccinos a day, each with two sugars, and I thought, ‘How silly am I? Having skim milk to try and be healthy but adding extra sugar’. I realised that if I could try to give up, it would save a lot of kilojoules,” she said.

But much like her energy drink withdrawal, giving up coffee wasn’t smooth sailing.

“I was violently ill,” she admitted.

Still, the results spoke for themselves, and she began to push her diet even further.

“I actually felt really great,” Bishop explained. “I thought, ‘OK, what else can I cut?’ So I got rid of pasta and bread and replaced them with lots of vegetables like broccoli and mushrooms, which hardly have any kilojoules in them. You can have a mountain of mushrooms and feel full. Plus, they’re good for you!”
