Nicole Kidman has spoken about her divorce for the first time in an interview with Variety.
The Australian actress told the publication that 2025 was a quiet year for her, but now she is starting to come out of her shell.
“I had other things going on. I was in my shell,” she said.
“Now I’m in a place of saying, ‘2026. Here we go’.”
In the interview she talked about her personal life over the past year and promoted her latest projects including the sequel to Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock and the new Prime series Scarpetta.
When asked if she was doing all right since her separation, she replied: “I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good. What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.
“Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family’, and that’s what we’ll continue to be.
“My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.”
Kidman also confirmed that she would stay in Nashville, saying: “We have our life here. I’m part of the city and community for 20 years. It’s my home.”
