Terri Irwin and Angela Bishop have an honest conversation about grief and losing their husbands, Steve Irwin and Peter Baikie, in a new segment for 10 News+.
In a preview clip the women open up on how they still go through moments of grief years later.
“Sometimes you have to search for something and it’s hard, but we worked at it,” Terri said in the preview.
She became emotional as she talked about how much effort it takes to keep going, her voice shaking slightly as she said “we’re both in the same club,” to Angela.
Angela, 58, agreed, questioning whether those sudden waves of sadness ever truly fade.
“Does it still happen? Because it still happens to me,” she said.
“Oh yeah,” Terri replied. “And when you least expect it.”
Both women acknowledge that while time moves forward, the ache of missing someone never simply disappears.
Peter passed away in November 2017 at the age of 54, following a cancer diagnosis, while Steve passed away in September 2026 at the age of 44 after a stingray accident.
