Buckingham Palace has released a statement on behalf of the Queen, saying she is concerned over the allegations made by her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle in their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

However, the response hasn’t satisfied the public who are still wanting to know about racism within the monarchy.

Prince William is also reportedly “livid” over the assertions made about the British Royal family.

“William and his father have long spoken about racism and mental health,” a royal source told The Sun.

“For them to be accused of being racist is deeply upsetting and wrong.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Winfrey that comments had been made regarding the colour of their son’s skin before he was born.

The pair refused to name the member of the royal family who is said to have made the remarks, which implicated them all.

Prince Harry has since confirmed it was neither the Queen nor her husband, Prince Philip who made the comments.

Prince William is also said to be upset that his wife Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, has also been dragged into the narrative while people speculate about who the unnamed person is.

A second “senior insider” is quoted, saying Prince Charles was also upset by the allegations.

“The Prince is proud of the diversity of this country and believes the diversity of Britain’s modern society is its greatest strength.”

In her statement on Tuesday, the Queen addressed the couple’s allegations.

“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the statement read.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
