Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has quietly married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, after almost a decade together.
Ronaldo confirmed the news with a simple Instagram post showing the couple’s hands with their simple gold wedding rings and the caption “C❤️G”.
The couple reportedly married on August 11, 2026, in Cascais, Portugal, in a private ceremony attended by their five children.
Ronaldo, 41, and Rodriguez, 32, share Alana, eight, and Bella, four, while Ronaldo is also father to Cristiano Jr, 16, and twins Eva Maria and Mateo, nine.
The couple welcomed Bella as a twin, but sadly her twin brother died shortly after birth.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” they said at the time.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez first met in 2017 while Rodriguez was working at a Gucci store. They made their relationship public later that year.
After years together, Ronaldo proposed in August 2025. Rodriguez announced their engagement with a photo of her large diamond ring.
“Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” she wrote.
The ring was estimated to be worth more than $5 million, based on what appeared to a 30-carat diamond, according to Australia’s leading diamond expert, Nick Ireland.
Rodriguez later recalled being surprised by the proposal and said she needed time to take in the size of the ring.
“It took me a long time to process the enormous stone he gave me,” she said.
“I was so shocked that I left it in my room and didn’t open it in the sunlight until the next day … It’s the least he could offer me after 10 years of waiting.”
