Chocolate lovers rejoice! Iconic Aussie chocolate bar set to make a return
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chocolate lovers who are yearning to get their hands on an iconic Australian favourite will need to wait a little bit longer.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Early this year, South Australian confectioner Robern Menz announced that it would be bringing back the iconic Polly Waffle chocolate bar.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This immediately caught people’s attention as Baby Boomers and Gen Xers wondered how soon they’d be able to buy the chocolate in bulk.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The chocolate bar is a marshmallow and wafer-filled chocolate bar and it was pulled from shelves in 2009, much to the annoyance of fans.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Robern Menz CEO Phil Sims told </span><a href="https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/food/the-polly-waffle-is-coming-back-when-the-iconic-chocolate-bar-will-hit-shelves-c-173986"><span style="font-weight: 400;">7News</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> about his plan.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Polly Waffle is a unique chocolate bar, and although it may sound simple enough - with its combination of chocolate, wafer and marshmallow - it actually requires a number of fairly complicated processes to create."</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"Technology has advanced significantly since Polly Waffle was first produced in Australia, so we want to thoroughly examine all options before selecting the best one," Sims said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"We know products like Polly Waffle and Violet Crumble carry emotional significance and we, therefore, have a responsibility to meet people’s expectations," he said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"We’re focusing a lot of energy and resources into ensuring Polly Waffle is as tasty as people remember and can’t wait to share it with the public soon.”</span></p>
