“Another Denyer down”: Grant Denyer’s daughter rushed to hospital
Life hasn’t been smooth sailing for the Denyer family over the past few weeks.
Everyone’s favourite television and radio host Grant Denyer was rushed to hospital after a critical back injury in March. The 41-year-old was diagnosed with “annular fissure or ruptured/torn disc” which occurred after “hammering in some stakes” on the family property.
The father-of-two is currently unable to walk or sit and has been absent from his many media gigs as he recovers in hospital from the horrific incident.
The good news is, his injuries are not life-threatening, but they’re serious enough to keep him away from his family – wife Chezzi Denyer, and daughters Sailor, 7, and Scout, 3.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, another member of the family has been the victim of an injury.
This time, it’s his eldest daughter, Sailor.
Taking to Instagram, Chezzi revealed that Sailor had an unfortunate accident while playing on the monkey bars, causing her to break her wrist.

“Oh no. Another Denyer down … it’s really not our year, is it? #runinwithmonkeybars #brokenwrist,” the mother-of-two wrote underneath a photo of little Sailor with a bandage around her arm.
Chezzi has previously shared the toll Grant’s injury has taken on her family, revealing that she fears his inability to walk would become permanent.
“I don’t want him to work anymore, because I’m really worried he’s going to end up in a wheelchair,” she told Grant’s 2Day FM radio co-hosts Ed Kavalee and Ash London earlier this month.
