Andrew O'Keefe in hospital after domestic violence charge
O'Keefe's lawyers have indicated that the host will plead guilty to the allegations if the charge isn't dismissed under mental health.
O'Keefe has been an "involuntary" patient at the Prince of Wales Hospital for almost three weeks after the incident at his partner Dr Orly Lavee's home.
A hearing has now been set for April to deal with O'Keefe's charge of common assault under the mental health act.
O'Keefe didn't appear at the last court mention of the case two weeks ago, with his current lawyer Kara Greiner saying that there is a "dispute as to the facts" of the case.
O'Keefe has been with the Seven Network for years, but after he was arrested, Seven said the company was "very concerned" about his behaviour.
"The Chase Australia is not currently in production," the statement, published at the beginning of February, said.
"Production will resume soon and a decision about who will host future series is still to be made."
The case will return to court on April 20th.
