Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire’s new radio show has been brought forward, with the full team now revealed ahead of its launch.

The pair announced last month they would front a three-hour weekly program on the GOLD network, airing midday to 3pm AEST, with global streaming access planned across multiple platforms.

Originally scheduled to debut on June 19, the program has now been fast-tracked and will premiere a week earlier on June 12.

“We couldn’t wait to get started,” Eddie said.

“Karl and I have been talking about this for years, and once everything came together, it just felt right to bring it forward.

“We’re ready to go, and we’re going to have a lot of fun with it.”

The show, titled The Long Weekend, has also confirmed key production and on-air talent.

ARN journalist, former Channel 10 presenter and podcaster Georgia Love has been named as newsreader, while Sacha French, who has worked across shows like Carrie & Tommy and Hughesy, Ed & Erin, will serve as executive producer.

The program will feature weekly “big-name guests” alongside a mix of music, commentary and discussion on major current topics.

It is expected to be broadcast across the GOLD network as well as streamed on iHeartRadio and international platforms in New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, the United States and the United Kingdom.

ARN, which operates GOLD and KIIS FM among other stations, said The Long Weekend would be Australia’s first locally produced audio and video format to be distributed across radio, streaming, podcasting, social media and digital platforms simultaneously.

Chemist Warehouse has also signed on as a commercial partner for the show.

Ahead of launch, Stefanovic said he was looking forward to getting started.

“We’ve been friends for a long time. We are both ready to disrupt the status quo and let me tell you, we’ll have plenty of fun along the way.

“God, don’t we all need that.

“ARN have given us this opportunity, now watch us go and have a proper crack.”
