Glenn Shorrock’s big comeback

Glenn Shorrock’s big comeback

Glenn Shorrock is a man who never stops. With a career spanning more than 50 years, can you really blame him?

As one of the founding members of Little River Band (or as fans affectionately call it, LRB), the band was very well known in the US, as well as Australia. LRB sold 25 million-plus albums throughout the ‘70s.

Now, 74-year-old Shorrock has decided to reclaim some of his legacy and has done a re-take on some of LRB’s biggest hits.

He’s worked with outstanding musicians to record the album live in studio, which will send you on a trip down memory lane. The Glenn Shorrock Sings Little River Band track list includes hits such as “Help Is On The Way”, “Curiosity Killed The Cat” and “It’s A Long Way There”.

The album was released on March 8. But if that’s not enough, he’s also touring extensively this year, hitting RSLs across NSW. However, if he’s not available near you, Shorrock has plans to announce more dates in the future. The rest of his tour dates in NSW are:

14 March: Byron Theatre

15 March: Twin Towns

16 March: Hamilton Hotel

17 March: Tewantin Noosa RSL Club

29 March: Ettalong Diggers

30 March: Hornsby RSL Club

12-13 April: Reminiscing with Doug Parkinson in Wollongong

27 April: Winton’s Way Out West Festival

3 May: Bathurst RSL Club

4 May: Dubbo RSL Memorial Club

25 May: Mix FM Live @ Sandstone Point

7 June: The Harvey Road Tavern, Clinton

19 October: Rock the Boat 2019

The legendary musician has also written a book called Now, Where Was I? which details his life and career.

“People have been goading me and telling me for years that I have a story to tell and I should get it down. And I’d even started a couple of times but then put it aside,” Shorrock told

It took some time, although technical glitches didn’t help.

“I originally started the book on my iPad,” he said. “I worked like crazy on it for two weeks and then it crashed on me and I lost everything I’d written. So, after that, I thought, ‘Bugger it’ and wrote it all out long hand.”
