Princess Eugenie has announced she is expecting her third child, sharing the news publicly on social media.
The royal revealed the pregnancy in an Instagram post on Monday morning, featuring a photo of her children holding an ultrasound image.
“Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” the caption read.
Further details were confirmed in a statement shared via the royal family’s official social media channels.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer. August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
The baby will be 15th in line to the British throne, with other members of the royal family shifting down in succession.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank first met in Verbier, Switzerland, and were married on October 12, 2018, in Windsor.
They welcomed their first son, August Philip Hawke, in February 2021, followed by their second son, Ernest George Ronnie, in May 2023.
The announcement comes after the princess has taken a step back from public life in recent months.
She also recently ended her seven-year patronage with Anti-Slavery International.
“After seven years, our patronage from HRH Princess Eugenie of York has come to an end,” the organisation said in a statement.
