Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin has been spotted browsing a pharmacy in Sydney’s northern beaches, stopping to chat and take photos with surprised locals.

Workers at a chemist in Manly were taken aback when the actor walked in on Thursday, dressed casually in a black jacket, jeans and dark sunglasses.

One employee at Malouf’s Pharmacy reportedly froze upon recognising him, before Baldwin broke the moment with humour.

A colleague told the Manly Observer, “she just stared at him until he said ‘I’m Alec Baldwin’ and had a laugh.”

Staff said the 68-year-old was friendly and approachable, happily posing for photos and chatting before continuing on his way. He was also seen taking selfies with fans who recognised him around Manly.

Baldwin is currently in Australia to film upcoming crime thriller Kockroach, alongside fellow actors Chris Hemsworth and Taron Egerton.

Filming on the project began this week, with Hemsworth sharing a behind-the-scenes update from day one of production.

The film, set in New York, follows a mysterious stranger who disrupts the criminal underworld after rising to power as a crime boss.

Baldwin’s low-key outing comes as the actor continues to share glimpses of family life online, recently posting a light-hearted video joking about his age with his children.
