Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden and host Samantha Armytage’s pay cheques for their roles on Channel 9’s The Golden Bachelor have been leaked.
According to PEDESTRIAN.TV, Armytage was paid $125,000 for two days of filming per week.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this month, she said she was excited to be part of the series and help bring the Bachelor franchise into the “modern era” with a “golden shine.”
Meanwhile, Bear was reportedly paid $75,000 for his 10-week stint filming the show earlier this year.
“He didn’t need the money. He just wanted to prove to his boys and himself that he’s still got some game left,” an insider told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
In the broader context of the Bachelor salaries, Bear’s pay puts him at the lower end.
Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins was reportedly paid $500,000 for his season in 2018, while Matty ‘J’ Johnson is said to have received $200,000 after finishing second on Georgia Love’s season of The Bachelorette in 2016.
Other past Bachelor salaries include season eight’s Locky Gilbert at $100,000, and Richie Strahan at just $10,000 in 2016.
Season 11’s Luke Bateman confirmed on the Confessions of a Reality Star podcast last year that he was paid $70,000 alongside co-stars Wesley Senna Cortes and Ben Waddell.
For The Bachelorette, Sophie Monk reportedly earned $300,000 in 2017, while Brooke Blurton received $250,000.
The leak of salaries comes as The Golden Bachelor reaches its halfway mark.
