Witney Carson, the Robert Irwin’s Dancing With the Stars partner, has revealed she’s been absolutely swamped with messages from women hoping to score a date with the wildlife conservationist – after she jokingly said she was keen to play matchmaker.

“Girls I love ya, thank you for the applications through somehow my email and flooding the DMs [direct messages],” she said.

“If I could line you all up with Robert I would because you’re all 10/10 perfect cuties. We are currently dancing our lives away so we are unable to respond. Robert for Bachelor?! Idk this is too stressful for me to handle lol.”

Turns out, fans have taken her role as Robert’s “wingwoman” very seriously. And while Witney originally said she’d help him find love, the sheer volume of hopeful singles sliding into her Instagram DMs has left her overwhelmed.

Robert, who previously said he’d love to meet an American girl while in the States, seems open to the idea – but there’s a catch. His big sister Bindi is part of the process, and she’s not letting just anyone through.

“You have to kind of go through a screening process, so submit your applications through my DMs, and then I will forward them to Bindi, and then we will see about the American tourist,” Witney joked.

Witney even warned that the screening process might be so intense, Robert could end up “single forever”.

Bindi herself is loving the role of protective older sister, commenting on Witney’s Instagram that she was “coming in hot to check Robert’s DMs.”

“I feel like I finally have the sister I always wanted (and needed),” Bindi added.

Fans have shared their responses, with one writing: “Help a girl out, Witney!” and another begging her to read Robert the “thirsty messages” just to see his reaction.

“I just know it’s a lot of middle-aged women too… I see the comments he gets sometimes,” one person noted.

And in perhaps the most on-brand move for an Irwin admirer, another fan confessed:
“To be fair… I don’t DM. I write letters to the Zoo.”
