Beloved stars Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen are set to return to Home and Away in a special event, stepping back into their iconic roles as Darryl “Brax” Braxton and Erica “Ricky” Sharpe.
The fan favourites will reunite on screen in episodes filmed across Western Australia.
Brax, once the fierce leader of the River Boys, was driven by loyalty and love for his family, while Ricky was portrayed as strong, independent and no-nonsense, ultimately becoming the love of Brax’s life.
Their on-screen romance remains one of the soap’s most memorable storylines, with fans hoping for a comeback ever since the pair’s emotional farewell when they drove off into the sunset a decade ago.
Now, the series will revisit their love story, promising drama, emotion and long-awaited answers.
Speaking to 7NEWS, Peacocke shared his excitement about the return.
“When the producers asked if I’d revisit Brax, it felt like a fun opportunity, and one I think the audience will really enjoy,” he said.
“Filming in spectacular outback Western Australia is the icing on the cake.
“I’ll always be grateful to Home And Away for being the launchpad to my career, and I’ve got a sincere appreciation for the fans who have followed my work since.”
Sveen echoed the sentiment, telling 7NEWS, “Bringing Ricky back wasn’t something I’d ever expected, so I’m beyond thrilled to reunite with Steve and old friends at Home And Away,”
“Exploring where Ricky and Brax are now, 10 years on, will make for a very special and compelling storyline and I can’t wait for our WA filming adventure.”
Both actors have impressive accolades to their names. Peacocke won four Logies during his time on the show before taking on major roles in dramas such as Seven’s RFDS, ABC’s The Newsreader, Paramount+’s Five Bedrooms, and Seven’s Wanted.
Sveen, who claimed the Logie for Most Popular New Talent in 2014, has appeared in ABC’s Rosehaven, Seven’s The Secret Daughter and Netflix’s Escape and Evasion.
Seven’s director of scripted content, Julie McGauran, described their return as a major event, “It’s an absolute joy to have Steve and Bonnie back with us for this epic event,”
“They’ve each left such a mark on Home And Away, both on screen and behind the scenes, and their return after a decade is sure to make the fans very happy.
“Questions of what Brax and Ricky’s life is like now and how things might have changed for them will be answered. And of course, there’s plenty of surprises along the way.”
Filming will commence in October 2025 at several Western Australian locations, with the special episodes scheduled to air in 2026 on Seven and 7Plus.
