Hollywood star  Jodie Foster has doubled her money with the sale of her impressive  estate  in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. The 1950s traditional home with a Hamptons vibe  overlooks  Coldwater Canyon and  was sold for  AUD$20.8 million, which is almost double the price  she bought it for.

According to  Variety, the actress paid AUD$10.4 million for the sanctuary when she bought it back in 2012.

The secluded estate is hidden away behind a large hedge and offers plenty of greenery as well as access to lush  grounds.

The five-bedroom two-storey  mansion  features seven bathrooms, French doors, an inviting alfresco dining area and a large in-ground pool.

With vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom and lots of natural light due to the large windows throughout the huge  home, the property gives off a relaxing and comfortable vibe.
