The Chase  host Andrew O’Keefe reportedly has Seven executives worried after the network announced that production would be halted until January.

The news comes just after Andrew took an eight-week break to seek mental health treatment.

According to insiders from Seven, the network is hoping that the break will help Andrew some “clear air” to work on his health.

“He’s in a very bad place and Seven execs are worried about him,” says an insider to  MSN. “They’re hoping this break gives him the space to sort himself out.”

In a candid interview with  Sunrise, Andrew reflected on the turbulent period after a bitter divorce from his wife Eleanor.

Kochie said in the interview that he was “worried”.

“We have been worried about you for the last year or two…” Kochie admitted.

“Everyone hits a part of their life where they really question what it’s all about and who they really are, whether what they have done for the last four or five years means anything,” Andrew responded.

“And I think, when I split up from my wife, that was my time. and the thing I always believed in most of all in this life was the power of love and combining with someone to make something special, and when I lost that, I thought well, it was all meaningless.”

In April, filming of  The Chase  was halted as he took a sudden leave of absence. Andrew later admitted to  The Herald Sun  that he had entered a mental health facility to address his “unhealthy behaviours”.

“I’ve struggled a little bit in that regard lately I suppose. Life has thrown a few things at me that I wasn’t quite prepared for. I wasn’t quite as resilient as I imagined I’d be,” Andrew said to  The Morning Show.

“But we are so lucky in this country that we have people who do know how to deal with that stuff – and it’s simply a matter of asking.

“I think we all know the feeling of taking on too much and that we can’t get ahead in life, and I felt that for quite a while – that everything had come crashing down and there’s no way out. But there’s always a way out.”
