Terri Irwin has celebrated her 62nd birthday.

The conservationist celebrated her birthday alongside her family on Monday, taking to Instagram to share photos from her celebrations.

She also shared a photo of the sweet handwritten card she received from her 5-year-old granddaughter Grace, whom daughter Bindi Irwin shares with husband Chandler Powell.

The card included a hand-drawn picture of the 5-year-old with the family’s pet pug, Stella, and the note that read “Deer Bunny, I love you. Happy birthday.”

“Such a sweet birthday card from Grace and Stella,” she continued in the caption.

“Fabulous flowers, yummy cake, and a fun time at the movies. Ending the day with the perfect pizza party. I am a lucky Bunny. Best birthday ever.”

Bunny is the family nickname that was given to Terri shortly after Bindi gave birth to Grace, with the name inspired by one of Terri’s neighbours in Oregon, US, who was a “grandmother figure to the entire neighbourhood”, according to a 2021 interview with The Bump.

Fans shared their birthday wishes in the comments praising the “cute” nickname.

“Bunny has to be the cutest grandma name,” one wrote.

“Love that your official grandma name is Bunny,” another added.

Bindi and Robert also shared birthday tributes to their mum, with throwback photos and videos of their bond over the years.

“Happy birthday to the best mum in the world! Thank you for showing me every day what it is to be brave, kind and optimistic. Love you!” Robert wrote.

Bindi said Terri “lights up the world” with her “kindness, strength and determination”.

“I love you with all my heart. And I’m forever grateful to be your daughter,” she added.
