Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer in the latest episode of his TV show, Clarkson’s Farm.

The 66-year-old British TV presenter shared the news during the final two episodes of the season, initially sharing the news with farm manager Charlie Ireland and farm hand Kaleb Cooper.

“I’ve got cancer,” he admitted, becoming slightly emotional as he shared the devastating update.

Kaleb replied: “No, you haven’t. Where?”

“Where it is of no concern of anybody. I’ve known since May,” Jeremy said.

“I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it’s aggressive, but it’s really early so the treatment will be, you know.

“I was praying we could get the harvest done and then I could go and get some treatment but it’s going to be slap bang in the middle.”

He explained that he would soon undergo surgery and will have to be out of action for a while.

“Listen I’m not daft, it’s going to be in about two weeks, maybe three.

“I’ll have to go and have an operation and then, the operation is in and out in no time, but your body’s out of action for a little while.”

After returning from his initial surgery, he revealed that he had 10 per cent of his prostate removed via ultrasound, which is “where the cancer is.”

He admitted that while he is fine to stand up, sitting down on a tractor was difficult given his condition.

Later on in the episode, while sitting with his co-stars and girlfriend Lisa Hogan, Jeremy reflected on how difficult his year has been.

“So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with me with cancer,” he said.

“We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good.”

Kaleb then asked him: “When will we know if the treatments worked?”

Jeremy replied: “I don’t know, I’ve got a blood test today, there’ll be a blood test and then we’ll know.

“Not for another few weeks. Come on cheer up, it probably did work.”

The season ended with a shot of the presenter lying in a hospital bed.

“So we started season five with me in a hospital bed and we are at the end of season five and I’m back in a hospital bed.

“Some of the treatment has gone awry, let’s say, I’m going to be here for a little while. I’m nil by mouth, I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

He added: “What I wanted to say was if this is all successful I’ll see you for season six and if it isn’t I won’t. Take care everyone.”
