Meet Jett Kenny! Lisa Curry’s son set to appear on Dancing With The Stars
Jett Kenny is the 24-year-old son of former champion swimmer Lisa Curry and former Ironman champion Grant Kenny.
However, despite his famous parents, Jett is quickly making a name for himself on his own terms.
He’s set to appear on Dancing With The Stars after competing in Australian Ninja Warrior last year and also appearing in The Real Full Monty.
When he's on on TV, Jett works as a professional lifeguard and follows an intense exercise regime to ensure he’s able to save the lives of those who enter the water.
"My fitness is surf lifesaving-based, which involves training twice a day every day, then once on Saturday with a rest on Sunday," he told Now To Love last November.
"I've started swimming again after a few years off and my alarm goes off at 4:20 am in the morning. I swim for an hour at 5am, then go to work, then afternoons on the water in the ocean," he said.
"4:20 alarms aren't the most exciting things at the moment. I slept in my tracksuit pants last night and had my jumper in my bed with me, rolled out of bed, put my uggies on, then got in the car.”
However, despite coming from sporting royalty – his mum has 15 gold medals from swimming in the Olympics and his dad is a former champion ironman – Jett hasn’t let this get to his head.View this post on Instagram
"I always say that I don't think I'd be where I am today if my parents weren't who they are," Jett told Who magazine.
"People say it's fine to just have a pretty face, but if there's nothing behind it then it's a bit dull and boring. People want smart and sexy. You need to have something else going for you," he added.View this post on Instagram
Despite being fit, intelligent and a part-time model, there’s no telling yet whether or not this translates into Jett being a good dancer.
