Dolly Parton has announced a major new venture amid recent public concern over her health.

The 79-year-old country music legend revealed she will open both the Nashville SongTeller Hotel and the Life of Many Colours Museum, with bookings available from June 2026.

Parton made the announcement through an Instagram video, offering fans a look at the pink-themed development and saying, “Can’t wait to see you next summer!”

She added, “Today I’m excited to share some big news with you… starting today, you can visit our website… and book now for stays starting in June 2026.”

The update follows recent health worries after her sister Freida Parton, 68, asked for “prayers” and referenced the need for the singer to postpone some Las Vegas shows.

Parton later reassured fans she was fine, insisting, “I’m not ready to die yet” in a recent social media clip. Appearing in full stage styling, she laughed as she addressed the speculation, asking, “Do I look sick to you?”

“Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease,” she said.

“Those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate, and I appreciate your prayers, because I’m a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything, but I want you to know that I’m OK.”

She explained that she had delayed addressing some minor medical needs.

“I let a lot of things go that I should have been taken care of,” she said.

“So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said, we need to take care of this, we need to take care of that – nothing major.”

Her sister later clarified her initial comments, saying she did not intend to cause alarm.

“I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly,” Freida wrote on Facebook.

Her original post read, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately.”

She added, “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”

Parton previously confirmed she was postponing several Las Vegas performances, moving some show dates scheduled for December to September next year.

In a statement, she said she would “have a few procedures” but did not provide details about the treatment.

Maintaining her trademark humour, she joked, “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”
