The Princess of Wales has shared a personal message to mark Earth Day, reflecting on the importance of nature in everyday life.

The 44-year-old posted the message on Instagram on Wednesday (UK time), alongside a series of landscape images from her Mother Nature video series.

“When we listen to the rhythms of Mother Nature, we remember where we belong,” she wrote.

The message was signed simply with a “C”.

“Watch the seasonal Mother Nature films on YouTube,” she added.

The images accompany a series of short films released over the past year, exploring the changing seasons and the role of the natural world in wellbeing.

Her most recent video, Winter, was shared in January to mark her 44th birthday. It featured the princess on an early morning walk in Berkshire, reflecting on the calming influence of nature.

“Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience and quiet consideration,” she said in the video.

“Where the stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection. To discover the deepest parts of ourselves. Alongside the whispers in the pulse of every living thing.

“I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am.

“For the rivers within us flow with ease, fears washed away, cleanse and purify. Come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive.

“To be at one with nature; a quiet teacher and a soft voice that guides.

“In memory. Helping us to heal.”

The video was released in place of an official birthday portrait, offering a more personal glimpse into her reflections following a challenging period.

The Princess of Wales revealed in January 2025 that she was in remission after undergoing preventative chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis.

The Earth Day message comes shortly after the Prince and Princess of Wales joined other senior members of the royal family at Buckingham Palace to mark what would have been the late Queen Elizabeth’s 100th birthday.
