Melanie Hamrick, the fiancée of Mick Jagger, has alleged she was “physically attacked” while out in London.
The American choreographer, 38, claimed in a now-deleted Instagram story that she was “grabbed from behind” while attending Annabel’s, a private members club in Mayfair, leaving her “shaken”.
“This is incredibly hard to share – but I was physically attacked tonight,” Hamrick wrote in the post shared overnight.
“I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me. Two people grabbed me from behind and thank god for good people who stepped in to help me.
“I’m shaken, sad and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way.”
Although Hamrick later removed the post, London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed they are aware of the allegation.
According to People magazine, authorities are “aware of an Instagram story alleging an assault in Mayfair on Tuesday 10 February”.
Hamrick, a former ballerina, confirmed last year that she and Rolling Stones frontman Jagger, 82, are engaged.
“We’ve been engaged two or three years,” she told French publication Paris Match in April 2025.
However, it seems the pair are in no rush to get married.
“Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything,” she added.
Hamrick and Jagger began dating in 2014 after meeting at a Rolling Stones concert.
They share a nine-year-old son, Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger.
The couple’s 44-year age gap has drawn plenty of public attention throughout their 10-year relationship.
In a 2024 interview with The Times, Hamrick addressed the scrutiny.
“I [doesn’t] think about it,” she said, adding that people can “mind their own business”.
“Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyse it,” she told the publication.
“Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. Okay, they can mind their own business.”
