Lily Collins has shared a touching tribute to her dad, musician Phil Collins, amid ongoing health challenges.

The Emily in Paris actor, 36, posted a series of rare photographs with her father on Instagram, marking his 75th birthday and saying how “grateful” she felt to spend the day with him.

“Yesterday Dad turned 75 and I feel so grateful to have celebrated together,” she wrote.

“For all you’ve accomplished, all the joy you’ve brought so many all over the world for ALL these years, all the lessons we’ve learned, all the memories we’ve shared, and all the new ones to come, thank you.”

“I count myself so lucky to have hugged you, laughed with you, and reminisced with you on such a monumental day.

“Proud is an understatement. Love you to the moon and back again…”

The post racked up more than 1.4 million likes.

The images showed the pair smiling in selfies, with one photo featuring Polaroids taken together.

The tribute follows recent comments from the In the Air Tonight singer about his health, in which he revealed he now has a “24-hour live-in nurse” to assist with his care.

Speaking on the BBC Era’s podcast, Collins said, “It’s an ongoing thing. I have a 24-hour live-in nurse to make sure I take my medication as I should do. I’ve had challenges with my knee. I had everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me.”

“I got COVID in hospital. My kidneys started to back up. Everything seemed to converge at the same time.”

The Genesis drummer previously sustained a neck injury while on tour and has also spoken publicly about living with Type 2 diabetes.
