Robert Irwin has announced his next major television role, joining the hosting lineup for the return of Australian Ninja Warrior on Network Ten next year.
The wildlife conservationist and television presenter confirmed the news on Instagram, saying he was excited to be part of the long-running competition series.
“Been a fan of this show for so long, now I get to host it,” Irwin wrote.
Irwin will be hosting alongside Ten presenter Georgie Tunny and The Amazing Race Australia host Beau Ryan.
The 22-year-old has become one of Australia’s most recognisable young television personalities, with the new role adding to a growing list of projects.
Next month, he will host the Logies and is also a nominee for the coveted Gold Logie alongside his former I’m A Celebrity co-host Julia Morris.
He is also involved in Disney’s US Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro spin-off, after winning the US version of the show last year.
Robert has also appeared in several advertising campaigns while continuing his work at Australia Zoo.
The return of Australian Ninja Warrior marks a new chapter for the series, which previously aired on Nine from 2017 to 2022 before moving to Ten.
