Ferrari owner loses licence AND car for record-breaking speeding

<p dir="ltr">A Sydney man has been charged after being caught allegedly driving at almost 100 kilometres over the speed limit in an unregistered Ferrari Portofino on the Hume Highway in NSW.</p> <p><span id="docs-internal-guid-9231e777-7fff-5c60-2e26-b92dba666c00"></span></p> <p dir="ltr">The 42-year-old was clocked doing 204 km/h in a 110 km sign-posted area near Goulburn, before being chased down and issued with a Court Attendance Notice by NSW Police.</p> <p dir="ltr"><img src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/2022/06/ferrari-portofino.jpg" alt="" width="1280" height="720" /></p> <p dir="ltr"><em>The car in question. Anti-police posts linked to Porsche driver Richard Pusey

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Infamous Porsche driver Richard Pusey is believed to be behind an anti-police account on social media which has garnered widespread condemnation.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Instagram account is called ‘The Richard Pusey Show’ with a description of himself, “the Porsche Driver” and “the perfect person for the resulting blame game”.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Posts include images of the wrecked police car which he claimed police were about to put him in before it was hit in the Eastern Freeway crash, as well as his destroyed Porsche.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“As I understand it, I believe the police were about to place me into that car. I don’t know how he can get away with these sorts of things. The man needs help there’s no doubt about that,” he said.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The pain he is causing relatives of the (Eastern Freeway) victims is beyond anything that is acceptable. <p>Melbourne Porsche driver Richard Pusey has been arrested again and this time he’s been charged with assaulting police and stalking.</p> <p>The disgraced former mortgage broker, who filmed police officers as they lay dying on the Eastern Freeway last year, was taken into custody by Victoria Police at an address in Melbourne’s north at 4.15 am on Wednesday.</p> <p>Police were responding to a noise complaint at the premises and they arrested the 42-year-old and he was charged when they took him back to the station.</p> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"> <p dir="ltr">Breaking news: Porsche driver Richard Pusey charged with 4 counts of assault police and 2 counts of stalking after another noise complaint at his house at 4.15am yesterday morning. Porsche driver Richard Pusey speaks for first time since walking free

<p><span>Richard Pusey has spoken to the media for the first time since he was set free from prison.</span><br /><br /><span>Pusey, 43, walked free after 10 months behind bars for the 11 offences he committed before and after the Eastern Freeway tragedy, which saw the death of four police officers.</span><br /><br /><span>The convicted mortgage broker demanded a further look into the case on Wednesday afternoon, telling the media “there should be a Royal commission into that accident,” while boarding a tram in Melbourne.</span><br /><br /><span>The husband of a police officer whose life was lost in the senseless tragedy says the justice system failed to deliver a fair sentence.</span><br /><br /><span>He was sent to prison for 10 months after he filmed and mocked four police officers while they lay dying in the Eastern Freeway, back in April of 2020.</span><br /><br /><span>Pusey had been pulled over for speeding in his Porsche when a truck swerved into the emergency lane.</span><br /><br /><span>The crash killed the four officers, and as they lay bleeding out, Pusey tormented them and recorded their last moments.</span><br /><br /><span>The 43-year-old was released from jail on Wednesday afternoon and was seen wearing a shirt emblazoned with “Get me Oprah,” paired with a face mask that read “Fake News”, and a head covering along with black sunglasses.</span></p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7843447/richard-pusey-3.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/8eb57ffcbb5845ca89ed99fc41112f42" /></p> <p><em>Image: 9NEWS</em><br /><br /><span>The husband of deceased officer Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Stuart Schulze, told 9News the justice system had failed to deliver "a fair and just" sentence.</span><br /><br /><span>"The courts have imposed the sentence," he said.</span><br /><br /><span>"He has served his time. I leave this with the court system and DPP for failing the community in delivering a fair and just sentence."</span><br /><br /><span>Magistrate Hayley Bate ruled Pusey had served enough jail time for the crimes he pleaded guilty to in court earlier in the week.</span><br /><br /><span>These charges included assaulting a woman, two road-rage attacks, sending menacing emails to a bank worker over a credit card dispute and destroying property.</span><br /><br /><span>"He is a man who, in a range of settings, deliberately seeks to interfere with the sense of safety of those who encounter him," the magistrate said.</span><br /><br /><span>In one incident, Pusey scratched a motorbike in Richmond with a key after he cut the rider off.</span><br /><br /><span>He also admitted to dragging a woman up a set of stairs during a heated argument in December of 2020, and later screamed at police during a rooftop standoff in the same incident.</span><br /><br /><span>Pusey also ruined a case of beers by throwing them on the ground at a Fitzroy bottle shop, after he was banned from the store.</span><br /><br /><span>Pusey was sentenced to a four-month jail sentence and a good behaviour order for two years.</span><br /><br /><span>Pusey has also been fined $3300 for some offences and has been ordered to repay two of his victims.</span></p>

<p>Porsche driver Richard Pusey went on a bizarre tirade during his bail application in court on Monday. </p> <p>The 43-year-old is facing charges of false imprisonment, making threats to kill and reckless conduct for allegedly "placing a noose around the neck" of a woman and assault in relation to a seperate incident. </p> <p>At the Melbourne Magistrates Court, Pusey became irritated and launched into a strange rant about his situation. </p> <p><span>“I’ll see you next Monday … I’m really not interested in this judicial system, it doesn’t work, it doesn’t help anyone,” he said. </span></p> <p><span>“I would get better justice in Belarus under (President Alexander) Lukashenko.”</span></p> <p><span>Pusey has already served his 10-month jail term for outraging public decency and other offences in relation to a crash on the Eastern Freeway. </span></p> <p><span>The crash, which took place in April 2020, saw the death of four police officers, as Pusey filmed the bodies of the officers while making highly inappropriate remarks. </span></p> <p><span>During his courtroom outburst, Magistrate Luisa Bazzani ordered Pusey’s microphone to be muted as she said she "would not tolerate language like this."</span></p> <p><span>Pusey's defence lawyer asked to speak privately with his client as the court was briefly adjourned, but he was not able to get through to him. </span><span></span></p> <p><span>The magistrate told the court that Pusey had been removed from the interview “because he damaged a camera” and was refusing to return to the room.</span></p> <p><span>The magistrate pulled Pusey's application for a suppression order, so he would not be "coerced into something he doesn’t want to do.”</span></p> <p><span>It is unclear when the court proceedings will resume. </span></p> <p><em>Image credit: Nine News</em></p>

Surprise plea from Porsche driver Richard Pusey with several charges dropped

<p>A Porsche driver accused of filming and taunting a dying police officer on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway has pleaded not guilty to four indictable charges.</p> <p>Richard Pusey has now been committed to stand trial at the Country Court.</p> <p>The 42-year-old was pulled over for allegedly speeding when a truck swerved into the emergency lane, resulting in the death of four police officers on April 22.</p> <p>Today, Mr Pusey pleaded not guilty to reckless conduct endangering serious injury, drug possession, reckless conduct endangering life and outraging public decency, after a magistrate decided there was enough evidence to support a conviction.</p> <p>On the night of the incident Mr Pusey allegedly filmed the police officers who were killed, zooming in on their faces and commentating in the background.</p> <p>His lawyers claim he was in a “distressed and shocked state” after his own near-death experience.</p> <p>Four charges against Mr Pusey including failing to render assistance, destruction of evidence and two counts of pervert the course of justice were also dropped in court this morning.</p> <p>Prosecutors are hoping for the summary charges against Mr Pusey, including dangerous driving, refusing breath test, two counts of commit indictable offence on bail, drug driving, offensive behaviour and possession of anti-speed measuring device to also be taken to the higher court.</p> <p>Police believe he is an “unacceptable risk” to the public.</p> <p>A homicide detective described Mr Pusey as a "manipulative and controlling man".</p> <p>"He uses harassment. He's threatened to kill people relating to two unpaid water bills. Eastern Freeway crash truck driver accused of trafficking drugs to a child

<p>A truck driver who has been accused of killing four police officers on a Melbourne freeway has been charged with allegedly supplying drugs to a child.</p> <p>Court documents have revealed that police claim Mohinder Singh supplied cannabis and meth to a child between April 20 and 16.  </p> <p>The truckie is facing 37 charges over the fatal crash on the Eastern Freeway at Kew on April 22 this year.</p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7836038/porsche.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/97c4406ed6f744f2a3023bd77fedd136" /></p> <p>Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King and constables Glen Humphris and Josh Prestney all lost their lives that day after they flagged down Porsche driver Richard Pusey who was allegedly speeding.</p> <p>Mr Singh was initially charged with four counts of culpable driving causing death over the fatal crash.</p> <p>However, since then, an additional 33 charges have been added.</p> <p>The truck driver from Cranbourne, appeared to the court through video link in a green prison jumper at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday.</p> <p>It was revealed Mr Singh required to see an expert witness in a “face-to-face consultation” before he could proceed with the matter, his lawyer Steven Pica said.</p> <p>Mr Pusey, a mortgage broker, has also been charged in relation to the crash.</p> <p>Police have alleged that the Porsche driver recorded the crash scene on his mobile phone instead of helping Senior Constable Lynette Taylor as she lay dying on the road.</p>

Truck driver who killed four police officers gives bizarre excuse for swerving

<p><span>The truck driver at the centre of a horrific car crash involving the deaths of four police officers says he was attempting to avoid a “witch” when he swerved across several lanes of a Melbourne freeway and ploughed straight into a mobile Porsche and two police vehicles.</span><br /><br /><span>Mohinder Singh, 47, is said to be undergoing psychiatric treatment at the Melbourne Assessment Prison since the horrific tragedy unfolded on the Eastern Freeway at Kew on April 22.</span><br /><br /><span>They constables had pulled over a Porsche 911 holding 41-year-old Richard Pusey and were in the process of impounding the car he was allegedly clocked at 149km/h and tested positive for drugs in his system.</span><br /><br /><span>The truck, not too long after Pusey was pulled over, slammed into the back of a highway patrol car and into the officers at 100km/h.</span></p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7835959/truck-driver-1.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/4f6479e9c8cb4a5da7765e95fdc76067" /><br /><br /><span>Four officers lost their lives including Senior Constable Lynnette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King and constables Glen Humphris and Josh Prestney.</span><br /><br /><span>Singh is believed to have suffered a medical episode that saw him black out after impact.</span><br /><br /><span>The truck driver has been charged with culpable driving causing the deaths of the four officers.</span><br /><br /><span>Singh is understood to have a pre-existing mental health issue, with a prison source telling the Herald Sun the father-of-two was suffering anxiety and panic attacks in custody.</span><br /><br /><span>“He is an unwell man,” the source explained.</span><br /><br /><span>“He reported that he'd sighted a witch while he was driving and veered into the emergency lane.”</span><br /><br /><span>Blood tests are yet to be revealed in regards to the whether Singh had taken any narcotics, and it is alleged officers found two ice pipes in his truck.</span><br /><br /><span>Police raided the offices of Connect Logistics, the trucking company Singh worked for, in the Riverstone Business Park in Sydney on Tuesday afternoon.</span><br /><br /><span>Officers from Victoria's Heavy Vehicle Unit Crime Investigation Unit stormed its headquarters with NSW Traffic and Highway Patrol Command Crash investigators, seizing documents including logbooks in the two raids.</span><br /><br /><span>“Mr Singh is genuinely sorry and saddened that four people have lose their lives as a result of the collision,” a short statement from the truck driver’s lawyer. Porsche driver’s mother speaks out about crash: “We are disgusted”

<p><span>Porsche driver Richard Pusey who is allegedly involved in the Easter Freeway tragedy that tragically cost the lives of four police officers has been estranged from his family for a long time, but that hasn’t stopped his mother from speaking out about the situation.</span><br /><br /><span>The woman opened up to 3AW on Monday morning, and says she came forward after family members began receiving threats after the details surrounding the crash that left four police officers dead last Wednesday.</span><br /><br /><span>The mother told the radio station she did not find it to be "fair" that their family had been threatened because they are just as "devastated" by the tragedy as the rest of the country.</span><br /><br /><span>"We are disgusted as you can imagine and he doesn't reflect any other member of the family at all in his behaviour," she told Neil Mitchell.</span><br /><br /><span>"We were incredibly shocked and deeply ashamed by the events that unfolded surrounding the accident and thereafter.</span><br /><br /><span>"Our family have been under immense public and media scrutiny since that time in a quest to find some explanation as to Richard's actions in this catastrophic event.</span><br /><br /><span>"This is an insight we are unable to provide. We as a family have had our lives thrust into the spotlight by association and all we can say is we feel the same sense of devastation as the community at this time."</span><br /><br /><span>Mr Pusey has been charged with nine offences, including driving at a dangerous speed, reckless conduct endangering life, failing to render assistance and drug possession.</span><br /><br /><span>The 41-year-old remains in custody on remand.</span><br /><br /><span>His mother has described the accident as "unimaginable and horrific and has left the family with several questions yet very few answers.</span><br /><br /><span>"We extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies to the families, friends and colleagues of the four officers that so tragically lost their lives in the execution of their police duties," she said.</span><br /><br /><span>"The pain and sense of loss at this time is beyond comprehension and there is little that can be said to ease the suffering of those that have lost someone special."</span></p>

Doctor reveals dying police officer’s final moments

He may have said those things, but the last words she heard were from the caring people and paramedics that came to her aid,” she said.</p> <p>“She and her colleagues were honoured and respected in every way.”</p> <p>Dr Sampson said that the scene will haunt her for years to come.</p> <p>“It was a horror situation,” she said.</p> <p>“Hopefully it is a once in a lifetime experience, like all severe road trauma accidents, they are very distressing to everyone involved.</p> <p>“There were many cars that had stopped, many tried to help.”</p> <p>Half a million dollars has been donated to the charity that supports the families of fallen police officers after the tragedy of last week.</p> <p>Victoria Police Legacy chief executive Lex De Man said that more than $500,000 had been raised with significant pledges to still be included, with a generous $200,000 from Premier Daniel Andrews.</p> <p>“To me the donations is the way people are dealing with their grief, showing their compassion for what happened,” he said.</p> <p>“They are clearly wishing to make a statement, that they are behind the police. Truck driver charged over fatal accident that left four police officers dead

<div class="post_body_wrapper"> <div class="post_body"> <div class="body_text "> <p>The driver of a truck that hit and killed four police officers faces the possibility of 20 years in jail after being charged over the crash.</p> <p>Mohinder Singh Bajwa, 47, was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital under police guard after police said he suffered a “medical episode” after the crash.</p> <p>Bajwa has since been charged with four counts of culpable driving and possibly faces a lengthy time in jail if found guilty.</p> <p>Police allegedly found an ice pipe in his truck cabin and further drug paraphernalia after a search of his home.</p> <p>The crash killed Leading Senior Constable Lynnette Taylor, Kevin King, Glen Humpris and Josh Prestney while they were on duty.</p> <p>In Victoria, culpable driving is the most serious traffic offence and carries a sentence of up to 20 years. He allegedly filmed Senior Constable Taylor while saying “There you go. Amazing, absolutely amazing.”</p> <p>“All I wanted was to go home and have my sushi and now you've 'f***ed my f***ing car.”</p> <p>Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton said that he was “disgusted” to learn of the treatment of the officers.</p> <p>“As chief commissioner, to have four officers killed last night with someone who has clearly been driving erratically on the freeway with an extensive criminal history it disgusts me,” Commissioner Ashton said.</p> <p>“Today, when I'm spending time with the family members of those deceased officers, I can tell you it will absolutely disgust them.”</p> <p>“If I wasn't wearing the uniform of Chief Commissioner, I would give you far more colourful language,” he said.</p> <p>“We will definitely be able to piece together 99.9 per cent of this. Porsche driver charged after “fleeing” scene of fatal car crash

Porsche driver's foul-mouthed words as police officers lay dying

<p>Fitzroy man Richard Pusey allegedly swore at and told a female police officer “amazing, absolutely amazing” while she lay dying after a truck ploughed into her and three colleagues on a busy Melbourne freeway.</p> <p>The accused drug-driving 41-year-old was shown in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday, where he faces ten charges that include drug possession, speeding and reckless conduct.</p> <p>Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King and Constables Glen Humphris and Josh Prestney were the four officers who tragically lost their lives on Wednesday evening on the Eastern Freeway in Kew.</p> <p>The court heard Pusey speaking as he filmed Taylor while she lay injured on the floor and calling out for help.</p> <p>Police allege he said: “all he wanted to do was go home”.</p> <p>“Amazing. Absolutely amazing. All I wanted to do was go home and eat my sushi and now you have f***ed my f***ing car,” police alleged Pusey said aloud to Taylor.</p> <p>Police told the court that there is no evidence Pusey himself posted photos of the crash to Facebook.</p> <p>The mortgage broker is believed to have called his wife and told her what he had seen while being given a lift to Fitzroy.</p> <p>Police believe he also may have spoken to his doctor about it, but not before calling a federal police officer he knew and told her about the crash along with a video.</p> <p>He is also said to have sent pictures of the crime scene to a witness along with a joke saying he hoped to get out of the fine.</p> <p>The 41-year-old told police he appreciated the fact they wanted him to come in for an interview however he said he could not do that.</p> <p>He was arrested the following day.</p> <p>His lawyer told the court Pusey has mental health issues.</p> <p>He did not apply for bail on Friday.</p>

Rookie police officer’s heartbroken grandma speaks out about grandson’s death

Whilst money can never replace a lost loved one, the financial stresses can take their toll.”</p> <p> Heartfelt comments were left beneath the GoFundMe page from those who donated. </p> <p>“I’m an ex-member... it is a job like no other...Rest In Peace my brothers and sister in blue,” one person who donated a generous $100 wrote and another with the same contribution to the victim’s families said: “Everyone deserves to come home from work everyday. This is a reminder that police officers truly sacrifice their lives on a daily basis, just to keep the community safe. </p> <p>“Victoria police, thank you for all your hard work, thank you for allowing me to feel safe on a daily basis.”</p> <p>A truck was driving at 100km/h when it hit and brutally killed four police officers dealing with the driver of a Porsche who had just tested positive to a drug test on the roadside. </p> <p>The refrigeration truck ploughed into all three parked cars just after the police arrived. </p> <p>The collision killed two senior constables and two officers as they stood in the emergency lane.  </p> <p>The driver of the black Porsche 911 fled on foot and remains on the run. </p> <p>The driver has been identified as mortgage broker Richard Pusey and was taken into custody on Thursday morning outside of a chemist,<span> </span><a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://7news.com.au/news/disaster-and-emergency/eastern-freeway-accident-richard-pusey-identified-as-porsche-driver-allegedly-involved-in-fatal-crash-c-994642" target="_blank">7News reports.</a></p> <p>Flags will fly at half-mast across Victoria on Thursday in honour of the officers. </p> <p>“It is an unprecedented event for us to lose so many officers in one event. Officers just doing their work, just doing their job,” Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton said on Thursday.</p> <p>The truck driver had a medical episode after the crash occurred, blacked out and is currently in hospital under police guard.</p> <p>“He is from Cranbourne and we did a warrant through the night at his premises,” Commissioner Ashtonsaid. </p> <p>“What was found at that premises is still the subject of ongoing investigation.”</p> <p>Shattered police colleagues and emergency workers across Australia have since paid tribute to the fallen officers in what is the greatest loss of police life in a single incident in Victoria's history.    </p> <p>The three other constables killed have been identified as Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Constable Glen Humphris and Senior Constable Kevin King.</p> </div> </div> </div>
