Princess Diana's niece secretly welcomes first child

Bride sparks feud for banning her niece from her big day

<p dir="ltr">A bride-to-be has sparked a feud for deciding to ban her sister’s “loud and distracting” toddler from her wedding ceremony, with the bride asking social media users for advice. </p> <p dir="ltr">The bride was only weeks away from her intimate destination wedding, which included a guest list of only a few friends and close family. </p> <p dir="ltr">After being met with a difficult decision, the bride took to Reddit to share how a massive family feud had erupted in the weeks before the big day.</p> <p dir="ltr">“My sister is bringing her one-year-old toddler. The child is more than welcome — she’s part of the family and we want her there as part of the day,” she began.</p> <p dir="ltr">“However, as she’s still very young (and very loud at times), I’ve asked that somebody takes her out during the ceremony if she’s being distracting, shouting and babbling loudly.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“I know that this will probably happen as she’s constantly chatting loudly and is never quiet.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“But it’s only for half an hour and she can be as loud as she likes for the rest of the day.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“I just want everybody to be able to focus on the ceremony and I don’t want the distraction.”</p> <p dir="ltr">The bride said she was worried about sounding selfish, but then admitted that she was allowed to be selfish on her big day, and wanted all eyes on her and the groom.</p> <p dir="ltr">“We want everyone to be able to enjoy them and, to be honest, we want the guests’ attention focused on us,” she said.</p> <p dir="ltr">However, after the bride told her sister of the plans, things didn’t go down well. </p> <p dir="ltr">“My sister has told me I’m being an a****** for ‘excluding’ my niece from the ceremony and therefore by default ‘excluding’ my brother-in-law who will be the one to take her out,” the bride said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“She says that I’m asking him and the one-year-old to go all that way just for the evening meal as they will miss the ceremony and that the toddler will most likely miss that too as it will be after bedtime.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“I’ve told her that there’s a whole afternoon of relaxing things going on — photos, cake, a little walk outside and late lunch that they will be part of but apparently she’s still really annoyed with me.”</p> <p dir="ltr">The bride says her sister is now “threatening” to attend the wedding alone, leaving her partner and their daughter at home.</p> <p dir="ltr">“We’ve called her bluff and said if that’s what she wants to do then we understand,” she said.</p> <p dir="ltr">“To be honest, she’s p***ing us off so much that we’d be fine with all three of them not coming at this point.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“I don’t think that I’m asking anything unreasonable.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“All I want is a peaceful, relaxed ceremony where we can all focus on what’s going on without a toddler babbling away.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Also, to be honest, even if this WAS an unreasonable ask, surely as it’s my wedding day then it’s up to me? Isn’t it the one day of my life when I can do literally anything I want?”</p> <p dir="ltr">The post was quickly met with hundreds of comments, with most people flocking to the bride’s defence. </p> <p dir="ltr">One person wrote, “This is basic event etiquette, but it seems like sis cannot be relied on to follow basic etiquette - or even asked to do so without herself acting like a toddler.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Another suggested: “Removing a disruptive baby from a formal event would be normal etiquette, but if you specifically had to ask in advance, I’ll guess she’s got a history of not doing so.”</p> <p dir="ltr">“Your wedding, your rules. Foul play suspected in tragic death of TV star's 15-year-old niece

<p dir="ltr">Police are investigating the death of TV star Audrina Patridge’s 15-year-old niece, after her cause of death was revealed to be a drug overdose. </p> <p dir="ltr">Young Sadie passed away in February just nine days after her 15th birthday.</p> <p dir="ltr">Police are still looking into the exact manner of how the teenager died, as they are investigating different avenues of how the drugs entered her system.</p> <p dir="ltr">Sources have been trying to figure out how the teenager got her hands on narcotics, adding that police have learned that she allegedly used Snapchat to procure Percocet that was laced with fentanyl.</p> <p dir="ltr">Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid drug, which can be up to 100x stronger than typical opioid drugs like morphine. </p> <p dir="ltr">Fentanyl, a very fast acting medication, is a prescription drug used during surgeries and prescribed for very severe pain, often in late-stage cancers.</p> <p dir="ltr">Despite being an effective pain reliever, Fentanyl is also manufactured illegally and may be sold as powder, fake pills or mixed in with other illicit drugs, like heroin, with this combination being especially deadly.</p> <p dir="ltr">Audrina, known for her role on <em>The Hills</em>, shared the heartbreaking news in February that her niece had passed away in a 10-slide Instagram tribute.</p> <p dir="ltr">“My heart hurts to even write this. My beautiful niece is now in heaven,” she captioned the slide show that looked back on cherished memories.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I know it’s not goodbye forever, but it is the hardest to say goodbye for now. <p dir="ltr">Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer have announced that Australia’s most prestigious race wear event, Fashions on the Field will go global for the first time ever. </p> <p dir="ltr">The competition will be open to international fashion-lovers as they will be accepting digital entries, with a new category allowing them to compete for the Best Dressed and Best Suited awards. </p> <p dir="ltr">The international winners will then be flown to Flemington during Cup Week to experience the glitz and glam of the races, and compete in person during the live final against Australian state and territory finalists on Thursday November 9. </p> <p dir="ltr">Princess Diana's twin nieces championed the prospects of international entries to the prestigious event and worked together with the Lexus Melbourne Cup trophy to make it a reality. </p> <p dir="ltr">"Racewear fashion really is its own fashion category and I know there will be some amazing international entries for the Melbourne Cup Carnival Fashions on the Field competition," Lady Eliza said.</p> <p dir="ltr">"It was great to discover some wonderful Australian labels at our Melbourne Cup Carnival Fashions on the Field shoot in London and I can't wait to see the style and creativity of entrants this year,"  Lady Amelia added. </p> <p dir="ltr">Victoria Race Club Chairman Neil Wilson also shared his excitement for opening up the event to internationals. </p> <p dir="ltr">"Fashion is a universally appreciated expression of people's individual style and we look forward to racing enthusiasts across the globe showcasing their unique take on race wear on track at Flemington or virtually, which will include the new international competition for the first time," he said. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Image: Victoria Racing Club</em></p>

Princess Diana’s niece marries longtime sweetheart

<p>In a stunning mountain-top ceremony, Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia Spencer has married her longtime love, Greg Mallett. </p> <p>The couple, who have been dating since they were teenagers and engaged since 2020, teased that the big day was coming with a post to social media captioned “Not long now”. And while they have yet to share any pictures from their big day, Earl Charles Spencer’s daughter opened up to <em>HELLO! </em>about what it meant to tie the knot in a place so dear to their hearts. </p> <p>"It means so much to get married here," she said of their Cape Town location. "Growing up here together for the last 14 years, all of mine and Greg’s happiest times as a couple are here. It’s even more special now."</p> <p>“I’ve been dreaming of watching Amelia walk down the aisle for 14 years,” Greg added. </p> <p>The pair met - and got engaged - in South Africa, and it was in 2021 that Amelia and Greg decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. </p> <p>Amelia has previously stated to <em>HELLO! </em>that the proposal marked the “most romantic” day of her life. And as Greg explained, "I had one big pink box, inside which I put in eight smaller boxes, decreasing in size.</p> <p>"In each box was a photograph of a 'first time'. The final box contained a note instead of a picture, that said: 'But most importantly, I know that you will remember tonight as the night that I proposed.' As Amelia was reading the note, I dropped to one knee with the ring."</p> <p>Amelia’s sisters - twin Eliza and big sister Kitty - were in attendance at the wedding, as well as her younger brother, Samuel. </p> <p>However, according to reports, Amelia’s father - Princess Diana’s brother - was not there. This didn’t come as a huge surprise to some, as he’d also missed Lady Kitty’s wedding - a move that has reportedly created a divide between the Earl and some of his children. </p> <p>As a source told <em>The Daily Mail</em>, “Kitty and Charles were very close when she was growing up, but their relationship has cooled and been more distant since his marriage to his third wife Karen in 2011.”</p> <p>That same source went on to explain that Charles had suffered an injury and that that was likely “the reason for him not travelling”, but it has yet to be revealed what his reasons were for missing out on Amelia’s ceremony as well. </p> <p>It also appears that neither William nor Harry celebrated alongside their cousin on her happy day. </p> <p>Still, fans and friends of the couple were more than happy to share their joy, writing their congratulations on Amelia’s teasing post.</p> <p>“Congratulations [to] you two on your nuptials. <p>Lucia Hawley, Nicole Kidman’s niece, has just landed a major presenting role after years of “working towards” a career in TV journalism.</p> <p>Lucia, 24, is also the daughter of TV presenter Antonia Kidman and was announced as the new face of Live From E!, hosting red carpets with stars across the country on the new 7Bravo channel.</p> <p>Despite her celebrity connections, the 24-year-old has expressed she’s “no nepo-baby,” sharing that she has been “working towards" becoming a full-time TV presenter for years.</p> <p>“I am so lucky to have them both as role models — not only are they amazing at their jobs, but they also have a really strong sense of self and are very intellectual as well,” She told the <a href="https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/lucia-hawley-says-shes-lucky-to-have-mum-antonia-and-aunt-nicole-kidman-as-role-models/news-story/b83c3b48554c9b69f630aff63007d212" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Telegraph</a>, referring to her mum and aunt.</p> <p>“Having a mum who had been in the industry, through osmosis you gain that perspective and understanding and I think that’s been one of the biggest things that has helped in preparing me for this role, just having watched her and how she has carried herself through everything.</p> <p>“This is honestly like a dream come true. <p>Robert Irwin is reportedly dating Heath Ledger's niece after the pair were spotted on a romantic outing. </p> <p>The 18-year-old wildlife warrior was seen with Scarlett Buckley, also 18, as the pair were pictured enjoying a sunset stroll in Queensland earlier this month.</p> <p>In photos published by <em><a href="https://www.newidea.com.au/robert-irwins-girlfriend">New Idea</a><a href="https://www.newidea.com.au/robert-irwins-girlfriend"> magazine</a></em>, the two are seen smiling at each other after picking up takeaway for a picnic on the beach.</p> <p>At one point, according to the publication, Robert pulled Scarlett in for a hug as the sun went down.</p> <p>While neither have spoken publicly about their blossoming new romance, Robert has been conspicuously following Scarlett's private Instagram account for some time. </p> <p>Scarlett – who has an identical twin sister, Rorie – is the daughter of Heath Ledger’s sister Kate, who runs a design and media productions company.</p> <p>Robert and Scarlett have plenty in common, as they both grew up in the public eye after suffering the devastating loss of a family member. </p> <p>Heath Ledger was at the top of his Hollywood career when he was found dead in January 2008 following an accidental prescription drug overdose.  </p> <p>Kate has been vocal about keeping her late brother’s legacy alive, creating the Heath Ledger Scholarship for promising young Australian actors. </p> <p>Speaking to <em>Who magazine</em> in 2018, she said the Dark Knight actor is “hugely important” in the lives of her children.</p> <p>“There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t share stories or talk about him. Olivia's niece reveals final heartbreaking moments

<p>Olivia Newton-John's niece has shared details of her heart-breaking last days before she <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/health/caring/honouring-dame-olivia-newton-john" target="_blank" rel="noopener">died of breast cancer</a> at age 73. </p> <p>In an interview with <em>A Current Affair</em>, Tottie Goldsmith broke down in tears as she reflected on her aunty's last days of her decades-long health battle. </p> <p>"It's not a shock, we've known how sick she's been, especially in the last five days," she told Tracy Grimshaw. </p> <p>Tottie then went on to reveal her heart-wrenching final moments with Olivia, saying, "I couldn't get to America in time and I wanted to say goodbye, so I asked [her husband John] if he could hold the phone up to her ear... But he got me on FaceTime so I managed to see her."</p> <p>"I told her all the things I needed to say," Tottie continued. "She was leaving us... but I feel like she got it."</p> <p>She then shared an emotional conversation she had with her aunty while she was undergoing treatment. </p> <p>She said, "There was one day at the Olivia Newtown John Centre and she was really skinny and unwell and I said to her, 'Are you afraid of dying', and she said, 'Plonker, I'm not afraid. I've done more in my life that I could have ever imagined.'"</p> <p>"She's struggled with a lot of pain and it's been a tough road," Tottie added. </p> <p>"It wasn't just the cancer that got her. It was other complications and being in a hospital with a very susceptible immune system."</p> <p>Tracey then asked Tottie what Olivia was most proud of in her life, and without skipping a beat, Tottie responded "Chloe" before breaking down in tears. </p> <p>Chloe is Olivia's daughter who she shared with ex-husband Matt Lattanzi.</p> <p>"She loved that girl so much. Chloe's <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/lifestyle/family-pets/no-words-emotional-images-from-olivia-newton-john-s-daughter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">doing it really tough</a>, but she's been amazing."</p> <p>At the end of the interview, Tottie said her family would be accepting Victorian Premier Dan Andrews' offer of a state funeral for Olivia, as she said, <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;">"On behalf of not just our family, but I think Australia needs it."</span></p> <p><em>Image credits: A Current Affair / Instagram</em></p>

Aunt "refuses" to take on kids when her terminally ill sister dies

<p>A woman has "refused" to take on her terminally ill sister's children when she passes away, despite her sister begging her to, and her decision has gone viral. </p> <p>In a lengthy post to Reddit, the woman revealed that her older sister, 31, has recently been diagnosed with a large brain tumour that will drastically shorten her life. </p> <p>The woman's sister has a six-year-old, a two-year-old and a newborn baby, who she claims she doesn't have anyone other than her sister to leave them to. </p> <p>Her sister asked her to be the sole carer of her children, despite her and her husband, both 25, deciding to remain child-free. </p> <p>"We don't have family, and her ex-husband wants nothing to do with the kids since she cheated on him for years with many men and they aren't his. She doesn't know who the dad is," the woman explains.</p> <p>The woman then goes on to list the many reasons why she told her sister "no".</p> <p>"1. Since we are both child-free it would be unfair to ask my husband to make this kind of sacrifice. We both agreed to no kids when we got married; to change something like that generally means a divorce."</p> <p>"2. I am an atheist. My sister wants me to raise them religiously and to 'know god' and take them to church. No."</p> <p>She goes on to say that she was never very close with her sister, due to their six-year age difference, and that the memories she has of their childhood aren't so sweet.</p> <p>"[From] the memories I do have, she was always awful to me, [and] cynical...After she moved out at 18 we haven't talked once, besides at my parents funeral. How could they possibly be comfortable with you after the loss of their mother? Princess Di's niece to marry millionaire five years older than her dad

<p>Princess Diana’s 29-year-old niece Lady Kitty Spencer is marrying a multi-millionaire fashion mogul who is five years older than her dad.</p> <p>Lady Kitty is the eldest child of Earl Spencer, 55, who is Diana’s brother.</p> <p>Michael Lewis, 60, who is currently the chairman for South African retailer Foschini, asked the model to marry him just before Christmas.</p> <p>The South-African fashion designer is worth an insane $152 million and is a divorced dad with three adult children.</p> <p>An insider told the<em><span> </span>Daily Mail</em>: “She’s been in Cape Town for the holidays and told her mother and the rest of the family. Russell Crowe’s niece fires back at claims the actor received special treatment from fire crews

<p>Russell Crowe’s niece has slammed claims saying the actor received special treatment from the NSW Rural Fire Service during this week’s bushfire crisis.</p> <p>Crowe’s 400-hectare property in Nana Glen was close to being destroyed from fire earlier in the week.</p> <p>One of his neighbours, Debbie Waldon, attacked the actor during an interview with Channel 7 news on Tuesday, saying: “I’m angry because our friend’s house is there burning and all the trucks go to Russell Crowe’s. What about normal everyday people?”</p> <p>The NSW RFS said there are no truths to Waldon’s claims, telling the<span> </span><em>Daily Mail</em>, “Crews are dispatched on priority of jobs and the properties that need it the most, we are not aware of who owns the properties”.</p> <p>Chelsea Crowe, the actor’s niece, said the neighbours statement and the media reports that followed are “bulls**t”.</p> <p>Taking to Facebook, Ms Crowe wrote: “Unfortunately, there is a lot of gossip and bulls**t media going around that fire crew’s abandoned properties in favour to protest Russell’s home.</p> <p>“If you look at a map and knew the boundary lines the entire property is backed by tallawudjah and the state forest. Mum outraged as niece gives baby same name as her own 4-week-old daughter

<p>A new mum has taken to the internet forum <em><a rel="noopener" href="https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3413436-niece-has-named-her-daughter-the-same-name-as-my-daughter?pg=1" target="_blank">Mumsnet</a> </em>to express her disappointment after her niece gave her baby the same name as the poster's four-week-old daughter.</p> <p>The “hurt” mum caused quite a stir after she asked users if she has the right to be annoyed at her niece.</p> <p>The poster, who goes by the username GreyEyed, wrote: “My daughter was born 4 weeks ago (still in hospital) as she arrived premature.</p> <p>“Niece gave birth yesterday morning and named her the same name (although I’m putting a long version on the BC [birth certificate]).</p> <p>“I’m a bit hurt tbh [to be honest]. AIBU? [Am I being unreasonable?]”</p> <p>Her question garnered a mixed response, as many agreed with the mother and said that she has every right to feel upset, while others told her to get over it.</p> <p>“This would absolutely irritate me. Yes of course no one owns a name blah blah but seriously where’s the originality in using a very new baby’s name who will see you frequently. Also, a baby who is still in hospital. A bit off I think,” said one poster.</p> <p>Another commented saying: “It’s a ridiculous thing to do. I’d be really cross. Make sure your dd [darling daughter] isn’t dumped with the rubbish version so they can be told apart.”</p> <p>But others felt differently, as they advised the original poster to let it go.</p> <p>“If your daughter was prem then your niece would have probably used the name before you if your daughter was born term and had probably picked it out ages ago."</p> <p>“Maybe it was you that stole ‘her’ baby name op?
