There’s cause for celebration for Aussie TV favourite Lynette Bolton, who has revealed the best possible news after months of cancer treatment: she is officially cancer-free.
The Travel Oz star, and wife of former Jude Bolton and Sydney Swans great Jude Bolton, shared the emotional update with fans after undergoing surgery last week to remove a tumour from her breast.
Diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer in December, Lynette has been openly documenting her treatment journey, from chemotherapy and immunotherapy through to a lumpectomy.
Now, after 191 days of fighting, she’s delivered the news everyone was hoping for.
“Pathological Complete Response – no cancer cells found,” she wrote. “We bloody did it.
“Thank you for every message, prayer, positive thought and moment of support over the last 191 days.
“I will be forever grateful.”
The happy announcement was met with an outpouring of love, including congratulations from the Sydney Swans, who called it “fantastic news”.
Fellow TV personalities also joined in, with Kylie Gillies posting “WONDERFUL!”, while fashion identity Lana Wilkinson said it was “the best news”.
Comedian Dave Hughes added a thoughtful message: “Every day is a gift for all of us.”
Lynette had previously shared the uncertainty of waiting for pathology results after surgery, saying the journey had shown her “just how loved and supported we can be when we allow people in”.
Known for her work on shows including Dancing with the Stars, WAG Nation and Sydney Weekender, Lynette’s strength and honesty have inspired many.
After what she described as a diagnosis that happened “really bloody fast”, this latest chapter is one worth celebrating – and a powerful reminder of the strength found in hope, support and early action.
