Australian music legend Barry Gibb is alive and well, despite a viral Facebook page falsely claiming he had died.

The Bee Gees star was targeted by a page titled R.I.P. Barry Gibb, which reportedly appeared on Sunday and quickly drew 1 million followers before being removed.

Fans need not be alarmed. Gibb’s family confirmed the 79-year-old is fine, with TMZ reporting they said he is “healthy, happy, and living life” in Miami.

The now-deleted page is believed to have featured a long but completely false account of the singer’s death.

The hoax is the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports that have spread online in recent years, with stars including Justin Bieber, Queen Latifah, Seth Rogan, Tom Hanks and Michael J. Fox also previously targeted.

Barry Gibb became a global star in the late 1960s with his younger brothers, twins Robin and Maurice Gibb. He is the last surviving member of the Bee Gees.
