Susan Boyle has sparked excitement among fans after teasing her comeback with a dramatic new look.

The 65-year-old singer wiped her Instagram account before uploading a single post showing herself in a recording studio with a sleek blonde bob, dark sunglasses and a floor-length fur coat.

“A new era starts tomorrow,” Boyle captioned the post.

The transformation quickly drew praise from fans, with many comparing the famously humble Scottish singer to fashion icon Anna Wintour.

“Susan J Blige,” one follower joked.

“Diva alert,” another wrote.

“Mob wife? No. BOB WIFE? YASSS,” a fan commented, while another quipped Boyle had committed “ARMED BOBBERY.”

“Anna Wintour better sleep with one eye open,” another person added.

Boyle rose to worldwide fame in 2009 after her memorable audition on Britain’s Got Talent, where she finished runner-up to dance troupe Diversity.

Despite placing second, Boyle went on to achieve a successful music career. Her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, became one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century, selling more than 10 million copies worldwide.

She later released six more albums and has sold more than 25 million records overall, though she has not released a new studio album in a decade.

Boyle first hinted at a return to music last year when she revealed she had returned to the recording studio for the first time in six years following serious health challenges, including a stroke in 2022.

“Today was wonderful, emotional, and everything in between,” she shared at the time.

“I made my return to the recording studio for the first time in six years, something I was told I might never achieve again. But here we are, in my happy place! I want to thank my manager, Geraldine, for being my absolute rock through everything and for helping me get back to where I belong. A million thanks.”

Boyle has also previously spoken openly about being diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism, in 2013.

“It will not make any difference to my life,” she told The Guardian at the time.

“It’s just a condition that I have to live with and work through.”
