Lauren Newton has shared a heartwarming tribute to mum, Patti Newton, for her 81st birthday.

“Happy Birthday to my beautiful mum,” she began in her post shared to Instagram.

“A day late but we were busy celebrating,” she added, alongside a montage of family photos and moments they’ve shared over the years, set to Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.

“I am so lucky to have the most amazing mum. I love her so much and I love seeing her with the kids. We all adore her ❤️”

Patti celebrated her birthday on the 4th of February, with Lauren sharing the sweet tribute a few days later.

In a few of the photos, Patti can be seen spending some quality time with her grandkids, cuddling with them and reading to them.

Lauren also shared a few photos from her childhood, as well as photos of Patti with her late husband Bert Newton.

Fans took to the comments to share their birthday wishes, with one writing: “So easy to see the joy that family brings to Patti! Happy birthday lovely lady.”

“Happy birthday Patti 🎉 our grandchildren keep us young. You are looking amazing. Have a wonderful year,” another commented.

“Oh Lauren your mum and you are so alike, both gorgeous women inside and out,” a third wrote.

It’s been almost six years since Bert passed away on October 30, 2021 at the age of 83 after a long health battle. His family have been open about their grief and shared tributes in memory of him.

Last July, Lauren opened up about the parenting lessons she has learned from her father in a column written for New Idea.

“My parents both worked when I was growing up – my dad worked two jobs and travelled frequently,” she recalled.

“But when he was home, I had his full attention and if something was important to me, he would make sure he was there.

“Hopefully my own kids feel the same and realise how loved and special they are.”
