The Block 2023 winners Steph and Gian Ottavio have welcomed their first child together, a beautiful baby girl and revealed her unique name.
“ILARIA OTTAVIO you have changed our lives forever,” the couple wrote in an Instagram post.
They shared a series of photos of their newborn daughter’s first moments and the first-time parents even shared a photo of them cuddling in hospital.
Fans, friends and former Block co-stars were quick to congratulate the couple on their milestone, with The Block 2024 winners Maddy and Charlotte writing: “Ohhh she’s just divine 💕 congratulations beautiful people! We can’t wait to meet her.”
“Amazing. Congratulations legends,” Foreman Dan added.
The Block 2022 contestants Rachel and Ryan wrote: “Oh biggest congrats beautiful people ❤️❤️ so happy for you both. Sending so much love xx”
Steph and Gian’s closest co-stars Eliza and Liberty Paschke said: “We love her already 🥰❤️.”
The Block host Shelley Craft added, “Congratulations Family,” alongside a series of pink love heart emojis.
The couple first announced that they were expecting in May, with an adorable video of them embracing while Steph showed off her baby bump. They even shared a few photos of their ultrasound scan and posed with their their dog, Lumi.
Steph and Gian are childhood sweethearts who met on the school bus in their first year at high school and have been together ever since. They tied the knot in April 2022, at a lavish ceremony in the Hunter Valley.
Since winning The Block in November 2023, the couple have launched a homewares and furniture business, Japandi Estate. They also sold their renovated home in the Sydney suburb of Bexley in April 2024, before buying a new home, and their current renovation project, in the Inner West.
They have documented the progress in real time with a YouTube series titled “Real Renos”.
