Following their memorable stint on 2024’s season of The Block, Paige and Jesse Maguire have delighted fans by announcing they are expecting their first child.
The Western Australian couple shared the news on Instagram with the caption, “Family of 4 loading,” playfully including their dog Barkley in the count. Their post featured a video capturing the emotional moment Paige revealed the pregnancy to Jesse, who quickly teared up.
During a photoshoot, Paige prompted him to share the news aloud, saying, “Say ‘Paige is pregnant’!” Jesse repeated in disbelief, “Are you serious?”.
Paige and Jesse previously competed on the twentieth season of The Block in Phillip Island but left during week five to focus on their mental health, becoming the first contestants to quit partway through filming.
Since then, the couple told Yahoo Lifestyle their lives have been “filled with love, laughter, and peaceful moments together”.
“Life has felt blissful in our little bubble, and now, with a baby on the way, we’re thrilled to share that our happiness is growing along with our family.”
Their journey together has had twists and turns. After becoming engaged in April 2022, they called off their wedding in September 2024. However, two months later, they revealed they had secretly married in Paris.
“Eloping felt like the most authentic way to celebrate our love and this commitment we were both ready to make to one another. A way to focus on what truly matters,” Paige told Yahoo at the time.
She added, “Paris holds a special place in our relationship – it’s a city we like to visit often, it’s a city that is intimate, timeless and romantic, and it made for the ideal setting to begin this chapter in such a special way. And it’s not too bad having a reason to head back for every anniversary.”
Their pregnancy announcement quickly attracted warm congratulations online. Co-star Kylie Baker commented, “Stop! Amazing news. You two will make the most incredible parents! Plus best looking. Miss you guys!” while former contestant Kristy Beames wrote, “Congratulations guys”.
Other fans chimed in with praise: “OMG this is the cutest pregnancy announcement I’ve seen ever! Congrats Paige and Jesse I’m so bloody happy for you both. All the best with the new chapter that is upcoming for you both.”
“Best mum and dad EVER. So proud of you two,” while one more added, “Oh my gosh the best news. You could tell you were a lovely couple on The Block and this is just the most wonderful news”.
