Sunrise hosts David Koch and Sam Armytage have been thrown into a fit of giggles following an on-screen caption blunder.
Laughter could be heard studio-wide after a dodgy caption appeared on a news story about a giant tabby cat.
Kochie was reading the script of a story on BeeJay, a 13kg shelter cat which has finally found a home, when the caption “MUST SEE: MASSIVE PUSSY” flashed on the breakfast show’s screen.
“BeeJay the two-year-old tabby, a massive moggie, tipping the scales at a whopping 13…” Kochie said before trailing off.
After the questionable wording appeared, sports presenter Mark Beretta jokingly asked the hosts what the headline said.
“It’s a tabby,” Armytage said before jokingly blaming Kochie for the gaffe.
“I don’t get why you’re laughing,” he said.
“I’m not … Now let’s get back to some news!” Armytage responded.
While the three presenters were amused by the Friday morning slip, newsreader Natalie Barr seemed to be unimpressed as the camera showed her disapproving stare.
