Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis have officially tied the knot!

The couple took to Instagram to share footage from their New Year’s Eve wedding in Swan Valley, Western Australia, offering fans an intimate look into their special day.

The ceremony was held at Villa Dionysus, a Mediterranean-style property close to Perth’s CBD, with the couple saying their vows in front of around 120 guests.

Kerr wore a black Hugo Boss tuxedo with a matching bow tie, while Mewis looked stunning in an off-white beaded gown with a sheer skirt and long train.

In one clip, Kerr was captured walking down the aisle with her father Roger, who carried the couple’s seven-month-old son, Jagger, with Mewis following after.

Another photo shared by Kerr with the caption, “wifey” showed the couple kissing.

They also shared a few highlights from their reception including one of Mewis sitting on Kerr’s shoulders as the couple celebrated their union.

Several of Kerr’s Matildas teammates, including Alanna Kennedy, Caitlin Foord, Emily van Egmond, Steph Catley and Mackenzie Arnold, were in attendance.

Fans took to the comments to share their well wishes to the couple, with one writing: “this is the royal wedding for football fans”.

Kerr’s teammates also shared their delight with Foord writing: “The best day celebrating you two,” alongside a red heart emoji while Kennedy wrote, “sexy wifeys.”

Chelsea Football Club also sent well wishes, writing: “Congratulations, Sam and Kristie!”

The couple got engaged in 2023, and welcomed their son Jagger two years later in May 2025. They have both since navigated career highs and challenges, including an incident where Kerr was accused of racially harassing a British police officer, which she has since been found not guilty.

The couple are expected to go on a honeymoon later this year, with Mewis previously revealing that they hope to attend the 2026 Men’s FIFA World Cup in North America before their trip.
