Mike and Zara Tindall have touched down in Australia once again, a country they’ve long considered their second home.
The royal couple are in Queensland for the annual Magic Millions Raceday, where Zara, 44, has served as a long-time ambassador.
The horse rider and her husband, 47, were photographed alongside various big names from the Australian racing scene during the event.
Zara opted for a pink lace dress by her go-to Australian designer, Rebecca Vallance, pairing the look with a cream hat, beige sunglasses and metallic heels.
Mike complemented Zara’s outfit with a suit and tie, adding a pink lace handkerchief to his breast pocket to subtly matching her look.
They were seen posing alongside former rugby league legend Billy Slater and his wife Nicole Slater, an equine artist.
Billy, 42, wore a dark blue suit, while Nicole stunned in a light green floral dress.
Mike and Zara also took time to unwind in New South Wales, enjoying a stay at Halcyon House in Cabarita Beach.
Mike later shared a video of memories from their getaway, featuring moments with friends, shots from the spa and a romantic beach walk where the couple were holding hands.
The royal couple share a love for Australia, returning each year for the Magic Millions and various other events.
Their connection to the country runs deep – they first met in Sydney in 2003, a moment Mike has described as a “sliding doors” situation.
The former rugby union player recently joined Australian golfer Wayne ‘Radar’ Riley for a game on his series A Round With Radar, where he spoke about his love for Australia.
“I like Australia full stop really and it’s got so many good memories for me,” he said, “Met Zara there. We won the World Cup there.”
Radar was stunned that Mike had met his wife in Sydney 23 years ago.
“There’s always the sliding doors moment in the fact that I got dropped for the semi-final. I met her that night when I got dropped,” he explained.
“I went out for a beer cuz I was p—– off… sliding doors,” he said.
He also shared that the couple had met at Manly Wharf Bar and said “if we go to Sydney, we’ll always head back there cuz it’s where we met. Maybe a bit of lunch at Hugo’s or whatever.”
Mike has previously spoken about how he and Zara met, revealing that it was she who made the first move.
