The Prince and Princess of Wales have released their 2025 Christmas card, featuring the couple with their three children seated in a field of daffodils.

The image, shared via Kensington Palace’s social media channels, shows Prince William and Catherine with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis sitting on the grass among spring blooms.

In the photograph, Charlotte, 10, rests her head on her father’s shoulder while holding his arm. Louis leans back between William’s legs, and Kate has her arm around George.

“Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas,” the couple’s post reads.

The family portrait was taken by photographer Josh Shinner in Norfolk in April.

It appears to be from the same photoshoot used for official portraits marking George’s 12th birthday and Louis’ seventh birthday.

The Wales family is spending the festive season together and is expected to join King Charles III and other members of the royal family at Sandringham on Christmas Day.

The release follows a period of change for the family, who recently moved into their eight-bedroom residence, Forest Lodge, located within Windsor Great Park.

The move has been viewed as a fresh start following Kate’s recovery from cancer, which she announced at the start of 2025, after what William previously described as a “brutal” 2024.

Meanwhile, the King has drawn attention for pulling what was described as the “perfect” pint of Guinness during a visit to the Guinness Open Gate Brewery London in Covent Garden on Thursday, British time.

During the visit, the King stood behind the bar and was guided through the traditional pouring process by Guinness experience ambassador Leo Ravina.

He was instructed to hold the glass “at a 45-degree angle – very important – it’s not 46 or 44, precisely 45” before pulling the pump until the glass was approximately three-quarters full.

Guinness drinkers traditionally wait for the stout to settle before topping it up, with the full process taking 119-and-a-half seconds. After speaking briefly with Ravina, the King added the final amount.

Ravina then said, “that’s a perfect pint of Guinness,” to which the monarch replied, “if you say so”.

The completed pint was taken to a machine that printed the words “Merry Christmas” and a sprig of holly onto the foam using edible dyes, after which the King took a sip.

While at the centre, the King also sampled beers produced by a microbrewery in the building’s basement, tasting a porter, a winter warmer and an apricot sour, which he said did not taste like a beer.

“He did great, that was an ideal pint of Guinness. He’s got the job – he’s hired,” Ravina said afterwards.
