We asked our readers what their favourite thing is about being a grandparent, and the responses were overwhelming.
To seeing their families grow up, to having someone fun to learn from, here is what you said.
Patricia Eaton – Seeing that look of wonder meant on her gorgeous little face when I sing old nursery rhymes or songs to her and she joins in.
Raymond Wagner – Filing their bellies with junk food and taking her home.
Joan Greenwood – Everything but especially the hugs and cuddles.
Rick Dayes – Spending lots of time with them they make me feel 20 years younger.
Jude Lowe – Remembering their parents at the same age!
Janette Scott – The excitement to see them again, watching them grow and their funny ways!
Maureen Norton – Love having the grandkids, the cuddles, the innocent remarks making me laugh.
Lorraine Fox – Having the pleasure of their company.
Karen Spencer – Working at my grandsons School, seeing him and my great nephew there.
Christa Caldecott – Listening to their stories of what they’ve been learning and doing. Some are hilarious from our 4 year old great grandson.

Sandra Bull – When you pull up out side their house and they are waiting screaming “nanny” and “poppy”.
Margaret Dorries – When the families all get together.
