Cricket fans can now stay in Sir Don Bradman’s childhood home for the first time, as it opens its doors to overnight stays through Airbnb for the first time.

Located at  52 Shepherd Street in Bowral, regional New South Wales, Sir Don lived at the house between the ages of three and 15, where he was known to have practiced and crafted his skills using a golf ball, a stump and an old water tank stand.

The water tank has been restored for guests to experience, with current owner Glen Haddon saying: “The water tank was restored quite a few years ago and done out of original old corrugated iron to replicate when Bradman actually played against the tank.”

“So it’s in fantastic condition and just been repainted.”

The historic four-bedroom house accommodates eight people and gives fans a glimpse into what life was like for the legendary cricketer.

Bookings will open from February 27.
