The Princess of Wales has shared a heartfelt message to those who have lost their lives to cancer, after recovering from the disease herself.

Princess Kate shared a video of herself at the Ever After Garden art installation in Chelsea, London, raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

“Thank you to all those who have contributed to the Ever After Garden, which raises vital funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity,” she wrote in the caption.

“Every flower, every light, is a memory held together, an illumination of shared love, remembrance, and hope,” she continued.

The art installation is filled with 30,000 illuminated white roses, where supporters are able to dedicate one in memory of someone who died from the disease.

The royal was seen interacting with volunteers and writing her own note to those who lost their lives battling the disease.

“In loving memory of all those who have lost their lives to cancer. C,” the note read.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity thanked the princess for her visit, adding “the garden is an incredibly special place for so many, and we were so glad to share it with The Princess,” alongside a red love heart emoji.

“We know the festive period can be a time of mixed emotions for many and that the opportunity to take a moment for quiet reflection and remember those we love who are no longer with us, is so important.”

Princess Kate revealed her own cancer diagnosis in a video message shared on March 2024, when she revealed she had undergone “preventative chemotherapy.”

In January this year, she announced she was in remission.
