Olympic swimmer Kyle Chalmers has married Norwegian swimmer Ingeborg Løyning in a joyful ceremony in Port Lincoln, South Australia, with the couple’s baby daughter Astrid playing a special part in the celebrations.
The pair shared the first photos of their wedding online, showing moments from the ceremony and reception. The sporting couple tied the knot in Chalmers’ hometown on Saturday, surrounded by family and friends.
Løyning wore a traditional Norwegian dress for the ceremony, with her blonde bob loose around her shoulders as the couple exchanged vows in a garden setting. Later in the day, she changed into a white mini-dress with long flared sleeves, adding a modern twist to the celebrations.
Chalmers wore a beige suit jacket with a black bow tie and black suit pants for the official ceremony. Afterward, he removed the bow tie and switched to an open-neck shirt as the couple posed for photos.
“03.01.26,” Løyning captioned a joint post on Instagram, alongside a black-and-white photo of the newlyweds.
Friends also shared photos from the day, including images of Astrid taking part in the festivities and scenes from what appeared to be a lively reception. At one point, Løyning was pictured wearing white love-heart sunglasses as she embraced friends and enjoyed the moment.
The couple first met after Løyning moved to Adelaide in March 2023 for training.
Løyning later confirmed their relationship publicly, saying, “Yes, we are a couple,” in an interview with TV 2 in December 2023.
“We have been there for quite some time, since around December,” she added, explaining that they had managed to keep the relationship private for a year.
“That is not the whole reason, but one of the reasons why I went down to train in Australia.”
Chalmers confirmed the relationship soon after, sharing a post on Instagram. Within six months, the pair announced their engagement.
In August 2025, they welcomed their daughter, sharing the news online.
“Astrid Olivia. Born 8:38am on the 28th of the 8th 2025. We are obsessed with you,” they captioned the post at the time.
