NRL star Latrell Mitchell has shared heartwarming family news, announcing he and partner Brielle Mercy are expecting their fourth child together.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs fullback and Mercy already have three children together, daughters Inala and Aleena, and a son born in December 2023.
The couple revealed the news in a light-hearted Instagram post, with the caption: “Because three kids isn’t crazy enough,” alongside photos of the family and Mercy’s sonogram.
The Rabbitohs also shared their congratulations online.
“A new little Rabbitoh on the way. Congratulations Latrell and Brielle,” the club posted.
Friends, teammates and fellow NRL families quickly filled the comments with well wishes.
“Wow !! You can keep going and have 7. All the best . You might need a nanny,” one joked.
“OMG god no last one for me,” Brielle replied.
The baby announcement comes after a challenging year on and off the field for Mitchell.
During the 2025 season, injuries limited the star fullback to just 11 appearances, with recurring hamstring and quadriceps issues disrupting his campaign.
Mitchell also faced scrutiny after a photograph emerged showing him with a white substance in a hotel room, leading to a one-game suspension and a $20,000 fine.
The criticism intensified when he was later suspended following a high tackle during a clash with the Melbourne Storm in April.
Despite the difficult season, Mitchell has recently returned to full fitness.
He played a key role in the Rabbitohs’ clash with the Sydney Roosters on Friday night, throwing the pass for Alex Johnston to score a record-breaking try.
