Nine has revealed a sweeping slate of new and returning programs for 2026, spanning hard-hitting documentaries, fresh reality formats and returning audience favourites.

Among the network’s biggest announcements is SHARK!, a daring new reality series that sends six Australian celebrities to the Bahamas – the shark capital of the world – to face their deepest fears.

Guided by Australian shark attack survivor Paul de Gelder, the celebrities, including host Scott Cam and Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus, will undertake escalating underwater challenges “from the safety of a protective cage to the ultimate test: an open water swim with one of the most aggressive of all sharks.”

SHARK! will “push our celebs’ minds and bodies to the limits,” while they share “raw, unfiltered emotions in post-dive confessions in what will prove to be a life-changing experience.”

Other new programs include 1 Euro House, which follows interior designers Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer as they transform a crumbling €1 property in Sicily into a dream home, and Outback Murder Highway, a forensic true-crime investigation into Queensland’s notorious 800-kilometre Flinders Highway, long dubbed one of Australia’s deadliest stretches of road.

The network will also premiere Events That Changed Australia, a landmark documentary series revisiting defining national moments – including the Cronulla riots, the Black Saturday bushfires and the Lindt Café siege – through the eyes of journalists, experts and witnesses.

Using powerful storytelling and credible voices, the series encourages viewers to reflect on Australia’s past, make sense of the present, and imagine the nation’s future.

Sports fans will see Beyond The Dream: Milano Cortina 2026, continuing Nine’s Olympic documentary series, while crime audiences can expect Naked City: Hitmen, a three-part exposé on Melbourne’s contract-killer underworld presented by veteran crime reporter John Silvester.
