Nicole Kidman’s daughter has shared a glimpse of her school formal, wearing a designer gown valued at nearly $18,000.

Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, 17, wore an archival piece by Oscar de la Renta for the milestone occasion.

The strapless gown, featuring silver sequinned strawberry vines and a white tulle skirt, is from the designer’s spring 2022 collection and originally retailed for $US12,900 (about $17,900).

Sharing a photo of the look on Instagram, Sunday Rose kept the caption simple: “prom <3”.

The teenager, who has begun establishing herself in the fashion industry, is no stranger to high-end labels. She made her runway debut at the Miu Miu spring/summer 2025 fashion show in October 2024 and has since worked with major brands including Dior and Calvin Klein.

Despite her growing modelling career, Sunday Rose has said everyday school life remains front of mind.

“[During the show] I was thinking about my chemistry homework and hoping my teacher would give me an extension on the deadline,” she said in an interview with Elle Australia.

“I was also thinking about how I was so excited to see everyone who was sitting at the show. But when I got out onto the runway, I couldn’t see a single person because I was so focused on what was ahead of me and walking in those heels.”

Earlier this year, the 17-year-old appeared on the cover of Elle Australia’s March issue, her first Australian magazine cover, and spoke about the influence of her mother.

“My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life,” she said.

“She’s a key part of everything I do.”
