Nicole Kidman is spending meaningful time with her daughters as she marks her first major holiday period since her divorce from Keith Urban.
Three months have passed since the Australian actress ended her marriage to the country music star, and Kidman appears committed to maintaining stability through family connections and her long-standing focus on health and wellbeing.
Over the weekend, Kidman took part in a Thanksgiving charity run with her daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 14.
The trio joined participants in Nashville, Tennessee, for the annual Boulevard Bolt, wearing matching tops for the event.
Kidman later shared a photo on Instagram with the caption: “So thankful… xx.”
The Boulevard Bolt is a long-running community fundraiser that donates all proceeds to local organisations focused on ending homelessness. Kidman’s sister Antonia and her family also participated, wearing turkey-themed shirts in support of the cause.
Kidman has been leaning on her family as she navigates the end of her 19-year marriage.
In her first personal public update since the separation, shared during a conversation with actress and singer Ariana Grande for Interview magazine, Kidman said she was “hanging in there”.
The actress also found support through her work, particularly from her Practical Magic 2 co-stars while filming the sequel during the early stages of the separation.
“A lot of times I don’t have fun when I’m filming … but I have such a strong relationship with all those women, so I felt protected and loved,” she said.
Kidman filed for divorce in Nashville on September 30, the same date listed as the official separation.
The split was attributed to irreconcilable differences, according to reports.
Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, married in 2006.
According to leaked divorce filings obtained by TMZ, Kidman has requested to be the primary carer for the couple’s daughters.
She is not seeking child support, with both parties listing gross individual incomes as “exceeding $100,000 a month”.
The former couple will share custody over the Christmas holiday period on a rotating system, with Kidman caring for the children in odd-numbered years and Urban in even-numbered years.
The same arrangement applies to Thanksgiving.
