Reality TV personality Bill Goldsmith and his fiancée Issy Eisermann have announced the devastating loss of their daughter, Olive May Goldsmith.
Goldsmith, who appeared on The Bachelorette in 2018, shared a joint post on social media revealing their “sweet little girl” was “born sleeping” at 27 weeks.
“She put up the strongest fight, especially these last few weeks, with all odds against her and continued to surprise the doctors and midwives with her strength to hold on, until she no longer could,” the couple told followers.
“She is beyond perfect – too perfect for this broken world. I have never seen a little face and body so purely perfect.
“Olive had her mum’s lips, smile lines, and cheeks, and her dad’s long legs.
“We have never known a love like this and have never felt a pain like this. The words ‘I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat’ will haunt us forever.”
The Gold Coast couple shared black and white photographs of Olive following her early arrival on October 31, showing her swaddled in a blanket for the photoshoot.
“Spending three days with Olive in hospital after her birth were equally the most special and hardest days we will ever live,” they wrote.
“We cuddled endlessly, showered her with kisses, dressed her, read to her, sang to her, and took her outside. We told her every second how perfect and loved she is.
“Leaving Olive was the hardest thing we will ever have to do. No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their baby or walk out of the hospital without them.
“We love you more than you could ever imagine, Olive. You were a fighter until the end and kept your mum and dad strong throughout the most heartbreaking journey.”
Goldsmith and Eisermann, who have been together since 2021 and got engaged in July, also expressed gratitude to medical staff, family and friends for their support.
They thanked those who had helped them “through this incredibly tough time, especially the last 7 weeks”.
Goldsmith, who has more than 30,000 Instagram followers, has received an outpouring of condolences and messages of support from friends and fans.
The couple had announced their pregnancy in September, writing, “Baby Goldsmith arriving January 2026! Can’t believe you’re halfway grown already.”
