Police allege a man has been firing arrows into the yard of a Melbourne special needs school over a period of several months.
Officers claim a 51-year-old man repeatedly fired volleys into the grounds of Glenroy Specialist School on Hilton Street from August through to November.
The school, in Melbourne’s northwest, caters for children with physical or multiple disabilities and those with complex health needs.
A police spokesman said no one was injured in any of the incidents and alleged the arrows were not directed at any particular person.
Detectives searched a property on Trevannion Street in Glenroy on Thursday, where they arrested the man.
Police allege bows, arrows, ball bearings and a slingshot were located during the search of the home.
The man has been charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury, discharging a missile and wilful damage.
He was granted bail and is scheduled to appear in the Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on April 15.
