It’s not every day the office turns into an awards showcase, but that’s exactly what happened this week when Jelena Dokic and Todd Woodbridge arrived at Nine’s studios carrying their brand-new Logie Awards.
The pair, who have become familiar faces on Australian television through their tennis commentary and hosting duties, couldn’t resist a little “show and tell” moment, proudly placing their golden statuettes side by side on the desk.
“Of course we brought them in,” Dokic laughed in an Instagram post, sharing a video of herself and Woodbridge grinning with their trophies – with Woodbridge even taking the time to polish his award before high-fiving his co-host for the US Open coverage. “Show and tell at work today.”
Both had plenty to celebrate after the 2025 Logies ceremony. Dokic took home the Most Outstanding Sports Program award for Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story, a raw and inspiring documentary that detailed her journey from rising tennis star to survivor and advocate. Her tearful acceptance speech, in which she thanked Woodbridge for being her guiding voice in broadcasting, was one of the most talked-about moments of the night.
Woodbridge, meanwhile, claimed the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter for his work hosting Tipping Point Australia. It was his first Logie win in a presenting role, capping off a remarkable career that has spanned elite sport, commentary, and television.
What made the double win even sweeter is the close bond between the two. Dokic has often described Woodbridge as “my person” – the colleague who helped her find her voice in broadcasting when she transitioned from the court to the commentary box.
That support was front of mind on Logies night, when Dokic struggled through tears to thank Woodbridge for encouraging her to tell her story, and for believing in her long before she believed in herself. The moment struck a chord with viewers, with many praising the duo’s friendship and authenticity.
Back at work, those words carried extra weight as their trophies sat side by side, a tangible reminder of the paths they’ve travelled – individually and together.
Colleagues at Nine couldn’t help but get caught up in the excitement, taking photos and sharing congratulations as the pair turned an ordinary day at the office into a golden occasion. Fans online were just as enthusiastic, with many commenting that the sight of the two tennis greats with their Logies was “Monday motivation at its best.”
For Dokic and Woodbridge, the show-and-tell moment was more than just a playful gesture. It was a celebration of the power of friendship… with a little sparkle of TV gold thrown in for good measure.
As Dokic summed it up: “What a ride.”
